Six Flags Over Georgia: Holiday in the Park 2022

Six Flags Over Georgia Christmas Tree

We took a trip out to Six Flags Over Georgia on New Years Day. It was the last day for Holiday In The Park and the last day of the 2022 season. Holiday In The Park ran select nights from November 19th through January 1st. Holiday In The Park offers so many experiences on top of all the amazing thrill rides Six Flags is known for. The beautiful lights, the music, the food and unique treats, the amazing Christmas trees, and the magical train ride are just some of the experiences to be had at Holiday In The Park.

Meet and greet with Sylvester and Bugs Bunny

It feels like Christmas the minute you enter the park you are greeted by a big Christmas tree, Sylvester and Bugs Bunny. The Christmas music was playing, fake snow was flying, and everyone was still in the spirit.

Make your own s’mores.

One of the coolest things was roasting your own s’mores. You could purchase a little kit and roast your marshmallow on a real open fire. The fire was surrounded by fencing and there was an attendant to make sure everyone was safe. The fire served dual purpose as it kept us warm as well.

All new for 2022 Holiday Market

The Holiday Market was a little something different this year. The Holiday Market featured kid activities, a petting zoo, special holiday treats and drinks, and amazing items from local vendors and crafters. Being we were there the last day of the event we didn’t to experience the Holiday Market but what a cool idea to see at a theme park.

Just a beautiful display of Holiday spirit.

Walking around Holiday In The Park you will see tons of cheerful displays like the one above. The park was just so beautiful. The one thing that would have put the cherry on top is if we would have seen real snow.

Gator Claus

Holiday In The Park featured many shows including Gator Claus, Elf Sock Hop, Looney Tunes Story Time, Bad Bob Humbug, Feels Like Christmas, Retro Christmas live, and hear Holiday Traditions from Around the World on the Marthasville Railroad. There is something for everyone to get in the holiday spirit with that show lineup.

VIP Igloo

Another cool offering this year at Holiday In The Park was the VIP Igloo experience. You and and up to 5 friends can relax in your own heated igloo. Everyone in your group will also experience a family style meal, unlimited hot cocoa, holiday treats, wonderful sparkling cider, a special menu of food and adult drinks that you could purchase, VIP seating access for shows, and much much more.

Sunset at Holiday In The Park

Holiday In The Park at Six Flags Over Georgia wouldn’t be complete without thrill rides. Ride all of your favorite roller coasters and thrill rides into the dark night lights. Some nights might leave you feeling like a piece of ice but it is so worth it.

Root Deer Fizz Holiday In The Park Exclusive

What event would be complete without specialty food, drinks, and merchandise? Six Flags Over Georgia definitely offered some amazing items. Root Deer Fizz sounded like an amazing drink but was not offered when we went so we didn’t get to try it. The event also offered a holiday feast dinner, s’mores, cool themed holiday merchandise and much more.

Entrance to Holiday In The Park

In conclusion we had an amazing time and Holiday In The Park was worth the drive. The event was everything we expected and more. This year we will definitely visit earlier in the season to experience all the offerings of Holiday In The Park. The dates for the 2023 Holiday In The Park at Six Flags Over Georgia are November 18th through December 31st. We hope to see everyone at the event.
