The evil is back—and it’s more brutal than ever. Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood have announced that Evil Dead Burn, the newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s legendary Evil Dead franchise, will come to life as an all-new haunted house during Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
The terrifying experience debuts on August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, giving fans the chance to step directly into the horrifying world of the franchise’s latest installment.
Since its debut in 1981, Evil Dead has become one of horror’s most enduring and influential franchises. What began as a low-budget cult classic has evolved into a global phenomenon, earning a reputation for its signature blend of gruesome gore, supernatural horror and twisted dark humor. At the heart of every nightmare is the infamous Book of the Dead, an ancient and sinister text that unleashes demonic forces capable of transforming their victims into terrifying Deadites.
Inspired by the upcoming film Evil Dead Burn, the new haunted house will immerse guests in some of the movie’s most chilling moments. The experience begins at the Price family’s isolated vacation home deep in the woods, where an unimaginable evil has already taken hold. As guests venture deeper into the house, they’ll find themselves surrounded by relentless Deadites lurking in every shadow. With each room, the terror intensifies as the demonic forces close in, threatening to consume anyone who dares to enter.
In addition to the haunted house, fans can commemorate the experience with an exclusive collection of limited-edition merchandise inspired by Evil Dead Burn. The lineup includes a themed T-shirt, a matching hat and a collectible acrylic figure that joins this year’s Infernal Carnival display series. The merchandise arrives at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood beginning Tuesday, July 21, with online sales launching the following day at 9 a.m. PT on Shop Universal. Additional themed merchandise is expected to be released later this year.
Evil Dead Burn joins an already terrifying lineup of haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, promising another unforgettable season filled with immersive scares, iconic horror franchises and all-new nightmares waiting around every corner.
