The battle for Hawkins is far from over.
Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights has officially announced the return of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things as an all-new haunted house experience inspired by the highly anticipated fifth and final season of the global phenomenon. Debuting this fall at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, the haunted attraction will place guests directly into the terrifying conclusion of one of television’s most beloved supernatural sagas.

Developed in partnership with Netflix, the new haunted house will immerse fans in the most intense moments from the series’ final season, allowing them to step beyond the screen and into the heart of Hawkins as the town faces its greatest threat yet.
As guests enter the attraction, they will find themselves in a Hawkins on the brink of collapse. The barrier between reality and the Upside Down has begun to crumble, unleashing darkness and chaos throughout the town. Visitors will journey through iconic locations from the series, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, and the MAC-Z military base before descending into the twisted realms of the Upside Down and the mysterious Abyss.
Of course, no trip to Hawkins would be complete without coming face-to-face with some of the show’s most terrifying creatures. Guests will encounter Demogorgons and other supernatural horrors lurking around every corner, all while attempting to evade the sinister Vecna, whose presence looms over the entire experience.
The haunted house promises to deliver the same cinematic storytelling and intense scares that have made previous Stranger Things attractions fan favorites at Halloween Horror Nights. With the final season serving as inspiration, this year’s experience is expected to be the most ambitious and emotional chapter yet.
In addition to the haunted house, fans can also pick up exclusive new merchandise inspired by the attraction. The collection includes a retro-inspired T-shirt, collectible mug, and a new acrylic figure designed to fit into Halloween Horror Nights’ Infernal Carnival collectible display. Additional figures representing other haunted houses and experiences from this year’s event lineup are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 begins on August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, running select nights through November 1. With more haunted houses, scare zones, and entertainment still waiting to be announced, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be one of the biggest Halloween Horror Nights events ever.
For fans of Stranger Things, the final journey into the Upside Down is about to begin—and this time, survival is anything but guaranteed.
