(Orlando, FL) The 35th Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival is back, and Central Florida is once again buzzing with incredible performances, eclectic art, and the kind of creative energy that makes this event one of my absolute favorites. While there’s simply too much Fringe to cover in a single article, we’ll be rolling out a series of posts about this year’s incredible lineup. In this installment, we’re heading off the main Fringe campus to Ten10 Brewing for Paco Erhard’s World Peace through Humor: A German 101.
Thank you, Orlando Fringe, for inviting us to a press preview of this show.
About Paco Erhard
If Paco Erhard’s name isn’t already on your Fringe radar, you need to fix that immediately. A Munich-born comedian who has spent the last 25 years living across six countries (USA, UK, Spain, Italy, Australia, and Canada), Paco has been performing internationally since 2011. He has appeared at over 50 festivals in 21 countries, including the Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. A returning Orlando Fringe favorite, Paco has won multiple Fringe awards including Patrons Pick and New Producer of the Year back in 2022.
World Peace through Humor: A German 101
At its core, World Peace through Humor: A German 101 is Paco’s hilarious case for why learning about other cultures might actually make the world a better place. Drawing from decades of living abroad and navigating the unspoken “rules” of different cultures, Paco blends razor-sharp stand-up with genuine insight and vulnerability.

What makes this performance especially memorable is Paco’s ability to tackle difficult subjects without ever losing the audience’s sense of joy. Through personal stories and cultural observations, he explores prejudice, misunderstanding, and intolerance – reminding us how easy it is to fall into those traps when we stop listening to perspectives outside our own. Despite the weight of those topics, the show never feels heavy-handed. Paco’s candor, warmth, and authenticity keep the audience engaged from start to finish, delivering plenty of big laughs while still leaving room for reflection.
As Paco explains, “…I suddenly realized how blessed I am having lived in six countries. Integrating in each, learning their cultural ‘game’ didn’t just change my perspective, it changed my whole operating system. It made my brain go from 2D to 3D. With this show I want to share all those lessons – mixed with some merry mischief, wrapped in big laughs, and with the goal to make us all feel better about humanity.”
Getting Tickets to World Peace through Humor: A German 101
Tickets for World Peace through Humor: A German 101 and any Orlando Fringe production can be purchased at orlandofringe.org. Because 100% of the base ticket price goes directly to the respective artists (one of the amazing ways Fringe supports both emerging and established creators), you’ll also need to purchase a reusable 2026 Fringe Festival button. Buttons are $10 and grant access to all the performances at this year’s event (along with your individually purchased show tickets). Good news: no matter how many productions you attend, you only need one button per person for the entire festival. You can buy your button online or at the main Fringe campus.
