(Orlando, FL) The 35th Annual Orlando International Fringe Festival is officially underway, bringing two weeks of bold, unjuried, and uncensored performance art to Central Florida. While there’s far too much Fringe to cover in a single article, we’ve been spotlighting some of our favorite productions throughout the event.
This time, we’re stepping away from the main Fringe campus and heading to Ten10 Brewing on Virginia Drive for a powerful and deeply human show: Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, presented by CnC Productions.
A huge thank you to Orlando Fringe and CnC Productions for inviting us to experience this remarkable play.
What is Orlando Fringe?
The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival is the longest-running Fringe festival in the United States and has been a cornerstone of Orlando’s arts community for 35 years. The two-week festival celebrates independent performance art in all its forms, from comedy and cabaret to drama, burlesque, improv, and experimental theater.
One of the defining features of Fringe is that it is completely unjuried and uncensored, giving artists the freedom to tell stories exactly the way they want to tell them. That unpredictability is part of the magic – you never quite know what you’re walking into, and that’s exactly why audiences keep coming back.

The Vagina Monologues
Originally written by Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues is an important and enduring work in modern theater. Built from real women’s stories and experiences, the show explores themes of love, sexuality, identity, trauma, birth, survival, and healing with honesty, humor, and striking emotional depth.
The CnC Productions version features a lineup of Orlando Fringe all-stars, including past Fringe producer Beth Marshall and current Orlando Mayoral candidate Dr. Anna Eskamani. The production is directed by Jaimz Dillman, winner of the 2025 Best Veteran Producer award, whose clear artistic vision gives each monologue the space it needs to land.
A Production With A Purpose
The proceeds from this production of The Vagina Monologues will benefit One Heart Women and Children – an Orlando-area nonprofit supporting women and families in need. Every member of the cast has donated their time to make this production possible, making every ticket purchased part of a larger mission to give back to the community.
The Venue: BYOV BSide at Ten10 Brewing
As a BYOV (Bring Your Own Venue) show, The Vagina Monologues does not take place on the Fringe main campus. Instead, you’ll find it at Ten10 Brewing’s Bside on Virginia Drive (a new addition to the Fringe BYOV roster this year). The brewery setting brings an intimacy to the experience that feels entirely right for a show this personal. Grab a drink, find your seat, and settle in. This is the kind of performance that deserves your full attention.
One important note for attendees: parking around the venue can be difficult, especially on busy nights, so plan to arrive early to give yourself enough time to find a spot before the show begins.
What To Expect At The Vagina Monologues
From the very first moment, the cast pulls you in. There is laughter. There is silence. And sometimes there’s both. The magic of this production is that it doesn’t feel like an anatomical lecture or an angry protest. It feels like an acknowledgement of the complexity, power, and mystique of this particular body part.
The monologues move through a wide emotional spectrum, balancing joy and grief, humor and heartbreak. The production thoughtfully includes perspectives on gender identity and the transgender experience while also confronting difficult realities, including violence against women and female genital mutilation, with care and gravity.
The cast handles all of it beautifully. Each actress is perfectly chosen to share their particular monologue. These are not performers going through motions. They are storytellers sharing something that matters.
“This show has always been about more than performance – it’s about voice, visibility, and shared experience,” says Dillman. “If you don’t think this show is for you, that’s exactly why you need to see it.”
Freaky Thoughts: The Vagina Monologues
The Vagina Monologues is one of those rare productions that manages to be both entertaining and genuinely important. It creates space for people to feel seen, heard, and understood, whether they identify directly with the stories being told or are simply there to listen and learn.
This is a show for women at every stage of life: for young women still discovering their voices, for mothers, for survivors, and for anyone who has ever struggled to feel represented or understood. It is also for the people who love and support them.
With a powerhouse cast donating their time and every ticket helping support One Heart Women and Children, this production stands out as one of the most meaningful experiences at Orlando Fringe this year. Do not miss it!
