Haunted Trails
Sir Henry’s Ghost Town & BBQ features two highly immersive walkthrough trails, each with its own unique story, setting, and cast of characters.
All italicized trail descriptions are taken directly from the Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail Facebook page.
The Beast of Deadwood Mines

Shortly after the old Deadwood mines opened back up, some miners began to claim seeing a large beast at night. Most townsfolk and law enforcement dismissed these claims. But when a miner was found dead, eaten and torn to pieces by some kind of animal, fear spread through the town. For the next few weeks miners would be found dead outside the mines with the same claw marks and bite marks on their bodies. An old-timer believed that the mining company had disturbed the den of a beastly creature. A creature that’s sole purpose is to guard the gold against greedy prospectors. Will your greed consume you?

A continuation of last year’s story, The Beast of Deadwood Mines delivers stunning visuals and some truly memorable storytelling moments. I especially loved how the trail shifts between wide spaces and tight, claustrophobic corridors, mimicking the feeling of descending deep underground. The creature itself is also very creepy. Its transformation throughout the trail is both terrifying and, at times, impressively gory.
The Long Black Veil

There once was a lady named Nell, who had a thirst for blood and gold. Her scheme was to lure cowboys fresh off the trail to her dwelling. Once Nell had them in her trap, she would murder them and steal their belongings. Eventually she was caught and hung for her crimes. But ever since her death, when the sun sets, folks claim to see Nell roaming the town. Still looking for cowboys to kill, her face hidden behind a shroud of black. Will you escape the Long Black Veil?

Set within Sir Henry’s “village” trail, The Long Black Veil blends intricate set design with natural outdoor scenery to create a fully realized haunted town. Moss-covered trees, detailed buildings, and shockingly disturbing set pieces all work together to immerse you in Nell’s cursed domain. The actors bring incredible energy to this trail, making each encounter feel personal and unpredictable.

Freaky Thoughts: Sir Henry’s Haunted Ghost Town & BBQ

As a Halloween enthusiast and huge fan of haunted attractions, I am so thrilled to see Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail continue this springtime event. The ghost town aesthetic and theme worked wonderfully inside the attraction’s existing trails, and the shootout show is an exciting addition to the Western atmosphere. If you’re anywhere near Central Florida, Sir Henry’s Ghost Town & BBQ is a satisfyingly spooky way to experience some off-season scares. Don’t miss it!
