Nightmares of Christmas Haunted Slay Ride
Santa has been working all year – and he is angry. Now he’s calling on every creature of Christmas to help him take revenge on the ungrateful masses (yes, that means us). During this 10–15 minute experience, guests board a tractor-drawn vehicle and venture through a series of eerie scenes and twisted holiday tales. Along the way, riders encounter live actors, special effects, detailed sets, inventive jump scares, striking visuals, and even a face-to-face confrontation with the spiteful St. Nick and his evil elves.
I absolutely adore this addition to Sir Henry’s Haunted Christmas. A wintry twist on the attraction’s Halloween Haunted Hayride, it feels like a theme-park-style dark ride brought to life with actors, atmospheric scenes, and personalized interactions. There’s truly nothing else like this spooky holiday experience anywhere in Florida – and it’s one you absolutely shouldn’t miss.

Sir Henry’s Haunted Christmas includes two highly themed trails: A Very Strauss Christmas and Krampus: A Toymaker’s Curse.

A Very Strauss Christmas
After failed experiments and patient tests, Dr. Strauss is in a rut of despair. But with Christmas around the corner, he sees an opportunity to have the happy Christmas he’s never had. He begins running even more demented tests on his patients, with the goal of turning their dark state of mind into light and innocence. You can say, into the purity of a toy. His vision of turning the asylum into a big toy store just might come true…
Taking place within the newly renovated haunted mansion trail, this attraction is packed with striking visuals and unforgettable set pieces. The atmosphere is rich and cinematic, with every room offering a new layer of mystery, tension, or holiday-tinged dread. The performers truly bring the experience to life -they’re exceptional at embodying their characters, improvising in the moment, and engaging guests in ways that feel uniquely tailored to each encounter. Their commitment elevates the trail into a series of story-driven interactions that feel personal, surprising, and wonderfully immersive. I absolutely loved it.
Krampus: A Toymaker’s Curse
In a small German village, a toy maker and his family prepare for the Christmas season. The children of the toy maker have become spoiled with toys. They wildly prance throughout the town, playing tricks on everyone. But their foul play isn’t without consequence. As Christmas draws closer, a beastly creature comes down from the mountains to punish the bad children of the village. Krampus Nacht has come and he has made his lair in the toy makers factory.
My favorite of the two holiday trails, Krampus: A Toymaker’s Curse, delivers some of the most impressive vignettes and character interactions I’ve ever seen at Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail. Each room unfolds its own story, with every detail carefully crafted to serve the narrative. From the intricate set design to the chillingly immersive atmosphere, the trail is packed with stunning scenes that stay with you long after you leave. The trail’s storytelling combines visual spectacle, clever surprises, and unforgettable character moments that make the experience truly magical and just a little bit terrifying.
Escape Room
In addition to the included trails and the Slay Ride attractions, guests can also purchase a five-minute, highly themed escape room game. While I didn’t get a chance to try it during this event, I’ve participated in Sir Henry’s escape rooms before, and they are consistently engaging, fun, and perfectly challenging. They make a memorable and exciting add-on experience to any night of fright.

- You MUST purchase your ticket online. No admission sales are available at the gate.
- These trails take place outside on unpaved paths. I highly suggest wearing closed toed, comfortable shoes.
- Just like anywhere in Florida, there may be bugs! Wear bug spray for your comfort and protection.
- Sir Henry’s is a popular Florida haunt and likely to experience busy evenings. You can purchase a VIP ticket for faster entry into the two trails.
- Parking is FREE at Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail!
