(Altamonte Springs, FL) Fan-favorite Central Florida attraction (and newly minted Scream Park), A Petrified Forest, returns for its 18th season with a twisted new setting: a haunted strip mall ruled by a ruthless villain. The Landlord is looking for overdue rent, and he’s taking his payment in souls!
This spooky season, guests can brave three brand-new haunted trails, step inside an immersive theater experience, test their wits in an escape ride, and battle through laser tag in the dark. With more screams, shrieks, and sinister surprises than ever before, A Petrified Forest is raising the stakes for 2025.
Here’s a closer look at all the terrifying fun coming to this year’s A Petrified Forest:
2025 Scare Trails
Themed after a crumbling strip mall, this year’s trails will bring guests face to face with mysterious forces, murderous families, and a cursed toy store.
In an official statement, A Petrified Forest shared these trail descriptions:
- The Cousins Café – Sissy, Papi, and Uncle Jed were just the beginning. Their bayou cousins have found a new home, and you retrace their journey here.
- Templar’s Toy King – As an urban explorer, you enter the crumbling strip mall, unaware that The Landlord has already laid claim, carving chaos and ruin in his path. The soulless are all that remain.
- Rancid Rentals – Choose your tape, choose your nightmare. Each genre-themed VHS throws guests into new horror worlds—no rewind, no return.
Dark Road Riders Escape Ride
Specifically billed as not a hayride, Dark Road Riders delivers an extreme ride experience packed with massive sets, live performers, and interactive surprises. This high-intensity attraction is exclusive to onsite ticket purchases only.
Ame’s Apparel Immersive Theatre Experience
Blurring the lines between mystery, comedy, and horror, Ame’s Apparel Immersive Theatre Experience pulls guests straight into the action. Team up with a cast of curious characters as you uncover the gruesome truth behind Ame’s disappearance. This add-on attraction requires a separate ticket, available for purchase onsite.
Don’t Miss This Year’s A Petrified Forest
“Becoming a full scream park is an exciting milestone for us,” says Kimmy Clark, owner. “What started as
a neighborhood haunt has grown into something much bigger and more meaningful. We’ve always
strived to create unforgettable moments for our guests, and now, with new attractions, we’re able to
offer even more ways for the community to come together, celebrate the season, and get scared in the
best possible way.”
A Petrified Forest will run select evenings October 3 – November 1. To see the full variety of available ticket options and start planning your evening of fear, visit APetrifiedForest.com.
