(Orlando, FL) There’s a new star lighting up Madame Tussauds Orlando — and she’s bringing serious style, grace, and iconic Hollywood energy with her! Award-winning actress, producer, and cultural icon Angela Bassett just unveiled her second wax figure, and it’s every bit as stunning as the star herself.
Angela made a special appearance at Madame Tussauds to stand side by side with her latest wax twin, admiring the incredible craftsmanship and lifelike detail. “They got it right, it’s just beautiful,” said Bassett. “To have a career that has brought me two wax figures at Madame Tussauds is kind of humbling.”
A Florida Girl Coming Home
For Angela, this reveal was extra special — she grew up in Saint Petersburg, Florida, making her new Orlando figure feel like a bit of a hometown tribute. Fans from across the state and beyond can now see her immortalized in wax right here in Central Florida’s ICON Park.
A Look That Radiates Confidence
The new figure is dressed to impress in a bold black and gold jumpsuit, personally chosen by Bassett. You might recognize it from the Los Angeles premiere of The Book of Clarence. The eye-catching FARM Rio jumpsuit, with its radiant sunburst pattern and glam accessories, captures Angela’s effortless elegance and magnetic presence perfectly.

Behind the Scenes Magic
Creating a figure this lifelike is no small feat. Angela worked closely with Madame Tussauds’ team of expert sculptors, colorists, hair stylists, and costume designers. They took around 200 measurements and reference photos to ensure every angle, expression, and detail was just right. “Angela was hands-on throughout the process, from selecting the perfect look to reviewing early details of the figure,” said Madame Tussauds Orlando General Manager Paul Gould. “That level of involvement always makes the figure even more lifelike and personal and we can’t wait for guests to experience Angela’s vision of how she wanted to be represented.”
A Star Among Legends
After the big reveal, Bassett took a stroll through the museum, mingling with the wax figures of fellow legends like Morgan Freeman, Johnny Depp, and Lady Gaga (her co-star and on-screen love interest from American Horror Story). Talk about an A-list lineup!
