Let Your Fringe Flag Fly! The 34th Annual Orlando International Fringe Festival is finally here! From May 13-26, Loch Haven Park (as well as other areas of Orlando) will come alive with over 1,000 ticketed performances, an eclectic visual art gallery, kids’ activities, a free outdoor stage, and plenty more. While there’s simply too much Fringe to cover in a single article, we will be rolling out a series of posts about this incredible event. In this twelfth installment for the 2025 Orlando Fringe season, we’re getting Naked at My Age!
As huge fans of this yearly celebration, we’re thrilled to be covering these exceptional artists and creators. Thank you, Orlando Fringe, for having us out!
More About Naked at My Age
A solo show by esteemed author and intimacy coach Charla Hathaway, Naked at My Age offers a candid, compelling journey through her sexual awakening and personal evolution. From her earliest experiences to decades of intimate, often surprising stories (including how she became a sex worker in her 50s) Hathaway challenges societal norms and redefines what it means to age with passion, energy, and an adventurous spirit.
You can read more about the production or see its remaining Festival schedule on the Orlando Fringe website.
Freaky Thoughts: Naked at My Age
As a woman who recently turned 40 in a youth-obsessed world, aging is a constant presence in my thoughts. I’ve wrestled with feelings of inadequacy, insignificance, and self-doubt – all for the simple fact that I’ve been fortunate enough to survive a few decades. Hathaway’s show was a powerful, affirming reminder for me and for every woman who’s ever felt like she’s racing against the clock. Age might not be just a number, but being over 35 doesn’t mean you have to be invisible. Charla’s bold, trailblazing stories from her 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond illuminated the truth that how we age is ultimately up to us. We don’t have to surrender our sexuality, our vibrance, or our presence because others might expect that of us. We don’t have to shrink as we gain experience. In fact, we can instead grow bigger, bolder, and more unapologetically ourselves. Thank you, Charla Hathaway! You are truly an inspiration!
Getting Tickets to Naked at My Age
Tickets for Naked at My Age and any Orlando Fringe production can be purchased at orlandofringe.org. Because 100% of the base ticket price goes directly to the respective artists (one of the amazing ways Fringe supports both emerging and established creators), you’ll also need to purchase a reusable 2025 Fringe Festival button. Buttons are $10 and grant access to all the performances at this year’s event (along with your individually purchased show tickets). Good news: no matter how many productions you attend, you only need one button per person for the entire festival. You can buy your button online or at the main Fringe campus.
