Haunted Trails
Sir Henry’s Ghost Town & BBQ includes two highly immersive walkthrough trails with distinct stories and characters.
All italicized trail descriptions are taken directly from the Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail Facebook page:
Pale Riders

A very successful gold prospector Henry James made a deal with the local bank to further his business. But little did Henry know, the owner of the bank made secret plans with the mayor and sheriff to overthrow him. The three men trap Henry and his gang in the mine and blow it up, taking the riches for themselves. Now, years after the blast, Henry and his undead gang return every night after sundown for revenge and their gold.

My favorite of the two trails, Pale Riders contains a delightful combination of intricate sets, gory props, thrilling sound effects, and engaging actors. The Sir Henry’s staff skillfully utilized both the natural surroundings of the property as well as their own sets to create the feeling of traveling through a cursed city. But the best aspect of Pale Riders was absolutely the incredible performers. During both of my visits to this attraction, I experienced extended, personalized interactions and witnessed short vignette-type scenes. It added to the overall immersion, and I loved it!
Curse of Deadwood Mines

The gold mine formerly belonging to Henry James and his gang, has been reopened. The Mayor, Sheriff and Banker are lining their pockets with the gold from the lucrative mine. But the deeper into the mine they go the more strange phenomenon occur. They unearthed a great evil and it is consuming the miners one by one, turning them into something terrifying.

In this dark and claustrophobic trail, guests will descend directly into the forbidden Deadwood Mines. I adored the special effects and tightened walkthrough spaces that heightened the illusion of going underground. It’s a great experience!
Courtyard Entertainment

As with every Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail event, the attraction’s common courtyard includes walk-around characters and themed photo opportunities – including newly built ghost town facades!
NEW! Live Common Area Show
Every evening, guests at Sir Henry’s Haunted Ghost Town & BBQ will witness an epic shootout between the “ghost cowboys” and the those wanting to defend their doomed town. It’s an exciting addition to this unique event!
Escape Games

If you’re looking for more scares, consider adding the Black Veil Saloon Escape Room (a 3 minute puzzle game) for a small extra charge.

Delicious BBQ Dinners

All that screaming is bound to work up an appetite! Scrumptious and satisfying BBQ dinners will be available for purchase from Wicked BBQ and Whiskey Bent BBQ.
Freaky Thoughts: Sir Henry’s Haunted Ghost Town & BBQ

As a Halloween enthusiast and huge fan of haunted attractions, I am so thrilled to see Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail debut a brand new springtime event. The ghost town aesthetic and theme worked wonderfully inside the attraction’s existing trails, and the shootout show was a stunning addition to the Western atmosphere. Sir Henry’s Ghost Town & BBQ is a satisfyingly spooky way to experience some off-season scares. Don’t miss it!
