Experience an immersive journey into the mystique of the woods with a live seance at the local historic museum. Delve deep into the secrets veiled within the forest’s shadows. But tread cautiously, for the woods resonate with the ominous echoes of an unfathomable malevolence.
Featuring a stunning preshow, guests navigate this house completely by candlelight! As a newcomer to Castle Dark, I found this maze particularly fascinating. The handheld lighting added a visually striking effect to the set pieces and props, and it made the whole journey even more terrifying! I loved it!
Funhouse of the Demented

A captivating take on traditional clown themes, Funhouse of the Demented is filled with gory imagery and gritty vibes. The actors in this attraction were especially engaging, giving me some of my most memorable interactions of the night.

Yes! There is a fourth maze! Sinister Inn VR provides a unique, virtual horror-themed experience. It does require an extra fee to participate. You can purchase tickets within Castle Park at Guest Relations.
Live Entertainment
Castle Dark features a variety of live spooky shows. While I was unable to experience these personally, I did catch an “after hours” dance party with the monsters! What an awesome experience!

Castle Dark also features two scare zones: Midway Breakout and Dark Lands. The zones add a bit of spookiness and Halloween vibes to the entire park!

Freaky Thoughts: Castle Dark
Offering a combination of rides, mazes, and entertainment; Castle Dark is a great way to celebrate the Halloween season. I am definitely impressed by the event’s innovative approaches to their haunted mazes. Each one features a unique twist (Seance’s preshow and handheld candle, Labyrinth’s actual maze layout, and Funhouse of the Demented’s take on traditional clown tropes) that you won’t find at other events. I truly enjoyed my visit to Castle Dark and would absolutely return! I recommend checking it out!
