(Los Angeles, CA) Located inside the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns is a family-friendly Halloween event featuring literally thousands of beautifully hand-carved pumpkins. Produced by 13th Floor Entertainment (the same folks that brought you the iconic L.A. Haunted Hayride and the 360º horror theater experience Delusion), Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns includes visually stunning displays, delicious refreshments, festive music, and lots of wholesome fall fun.

Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns is centered around an immersive, one-way trail FULL of incredible pumpkin displays, choreographed light shows, and other Halloween-themed visuals. Along the trail, guests will also find a central food court area, make-your-own-s’more stations, and a Fun Zone featuring inflatable play areas and equipment.

Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns guests will make their way around a self-guided trail brimming with gorgeous displays. On my visit I saw pumpkins carved with designs including sea life, famous cartoon characters, celebrities, dinosaurs, pop culture and more. To add to the variety, some displays even featured special effects like falling snoap or light show elements. The various TikTok’s embedded in this post feature a sampling of these awesome displays.
Fun Zone
For an extra fee, families can enter a special Fun Zone – a separate area full of inflatable slides and a pumpkin-shaped bounce pad. It’s a great way to add even more fun to your Halloween evening!

What an awesome, family-centric event! Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns is a great mix of Halloween vibes and non-scary imagery. Children can have lots of kid-friendly fun, but spooky loving adults can still enjoy the fog and gorgeous pumpkin displays. I recommend it to any families looking for an entertaining night out!
