’80’s SUMMER SLASHER
The Story
A unique blend of fright and excitement, ’80’s SUMMER SLASHER plunges guests into the haunting woods surrounding the classic Camp Bloodmoon. Amidst the quirky counselors, ghostly lore, and assorted penis drawings, “campers” will come face to face with the resident vengeful spirit – Jacob!
How it Works
Instead of a traditional theatre production, ’80’s SUMMER SLASHER is an immersive haunted attraction featuring engaging actors and audience participation. To encourage individual attention and personalized interactions, each show is kept to a maximum of only nine (9) audience members. Making the experience even more immersive, each guest will be paired with a specified “role” (like The Virgin, The Fool, The Survivalist, etc) based on a personality quiz taken before the show begins. Each “camper’s” slasher encounter will be highly personalized and unique based on their assigned role, ensuring that no two shows or even individual experiences will be exactly alike.
Just like camp, ’80’s SUMMER SLASHER is an ACTIVE adventure! Throughout the journey audience members will be sitting, standing, and moving through various detailed sets and camp settings.
Freaky Thoughts: ’80’s SUMMER SLASHER
As a self-described introvert, I was a little nervous about the audience participation and prescribed roles for this performance. However, the Zombie Joe’s cast instantly made me feel very comfortable and ready to play my part in the action. The actors were able to strike the ideal balance between leading the scenes and seamlessly directing our roles, so that I only felt involved in the plot and never “stuck” looking for the next step. It was the perfect formula for effective immersive theatre.
Truly unlike any other haunted attraction you’ve ever seen before, ’80’s SUMMER SLASHER is the perfect combination of thrilling action, nostalgic vibes, gruesome imagery, and audience participation. I loved the individual attention and innovative production style, and I highly recommend this show to anyone looking for a unique and fun night out!
