Written and produced by Without Fear Theatre, Find Me: A Modern Rock Opera is a neurodiversity-affirming show featuring a live band, movement-based performance, and an intermission-free format. Inspired by the Millennial and Gen-X women who discovered their neurospicy-ness in adult life, this production is an incredible picture of self-love and acceptance.
We were so thrilled to be invited to attend one of the final performances of Find Me at the Fringe ArtSpace in Downtown Orlando. Thank you, Orlando Fringe, for having us out!
While there are no more currently scheduled dates for this production, Without Fear Theatre is always working on new, uplifting works of performance art. Keep an eye on their social media for upcoming show announcements.

About Find Me: A Modern Rock Opera

The Find Me Story

A movement-based production, Find Me is a beautiful story featuring themes of interpersonal connection, self-love, and communication. With only two performers (one of whom does not speak), much of the content is subjective to the viewer’s interpretation and personal narratives. Character-driven moments are punctuated by a live band who moves the story forward with touching original music.
Here is full show synopsis, according to Without Fear Theatre:
Alone in her apartment, Allie is eagerly awaiting a guest she’s never met. When she finally arrives, Allie is stunned that the person she’s been expecting is nothing like Allie imagined. Together, two strangers learn to connect through more than words. With a live band acting as narrator, inner voice, spirit guide & kid’s TV show…yes, you read that last part right; FIND ME explores our most vulnerable relationship, the one we have with ourselves.
The Find Me: A Modern Rock Opera Experience
Find Me: A Modern Rock Opera is a unique theatrical production celebrating neurodiversity and the beauty of individuality. In keeping with this atmosphere, a visit to Find Me is a remarkable theater experience!
The Neurospicy Art Market

Before the show, Find Me audience members could visit the Neurospicy Art Market! With a variety of local artists, this market further helped to support and edify the Orlando community. Featured creators included Anthony R. Smith, Ashleigh Ann Gardner, Genevieve Bernard, and the Stonehearth Apothecary.
The Show
Presented in a movement-based style with minimalist dialog, Find Me is an innovative depiction of challenge and triumph. Because the story allows for such deep reflection, each viewer is bound to have a much different interpretation and experience of the production. My interpretation of the show aligned with my own current internal struggles and past wounds. Others, however, might have a completely different experience. No matter what your personal analysis, Find Me is a poignant production exploring the world of mental health and journey to acceptance.
ARRE Foundation
In accordance with Without Fear’s charitable initiatives, Find Me audiences were invited to support the ARRE Foundation – a family-led organization raising money for ASXL research. You can find out more about this organization at arrefoundation.org.
