The all-new LEGO® Ferrari Build & Race is NOW OPEN at LEGOLAND Florida Resort! This hands-on attraction invites guests to design, construct, and test drive their very own LEGO® race cars. A mixture of physical tracks, digital technology, and a highly themed environment; the LEGO® Ferrari Build & Race is a totally unique addition to the beloved park.
“We are thrilled to open this unique attraction for our guests,” said Managing Director, LEGOLAND Parks, North America, Rex Jackson. “LEGO Ferrari Build and Race is unlike any other attraction we have here at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. It celebrates the global popularity of Ferrari and F1 racing while challenging everyone to imagine, build, and race the LEGO Ferrari-themed car of their dreams.”
“This attraction furthers our ongoing collaboration and relationship with Ferrari,” Jackson continued. “LEGO Ferrari Build & Race has quickly become a guest favorite at LEGOLAND California Resort and now our guests on the East Coast can design and race LEGO cars again and again.”
We were so excited to be invited to check out this brand new experience at LEGOLAND Florida. We had a great time, and we can’t wait to share all the exciting details. Thank you, LEGOLAND, for having us out!
LEGO® Ferrari Build & Race
The LEGO® Ferrari Build & Race is located near the LEGO® Technic area of the park. The building is divided into several activity areas: a life-size model photo opportunity, design & build stations, test tracks, a DUPLO® Build Zone (for preschoolers), and a digital racing game.
Life-Size Ferrari Photo Opportunity
A visit to LEGO® Ferrari Build & Race starts in the “garage” with an exciting photo opportunity! Check out the park’s life-size LEGO® Ferrari 296 GTS model, complete with working headlights and roaring engine. The model measures 15 feet long, 7.5 feet wide, and 4 feet tall. And it weights almost TWO TONS! Take lots of family photos outside the vehicle or climb in the driver’s seat for an unforgettable LEGO memory.
Design Your Vehicle
After snapping a few memorable photographs, move into the design area to build your customized LEGO® race car! The attraction features some example guides, OR you can fashion your own unique creation.
Test Your Design
After carefully building your dream car, you can test it on a total of three physical tracks: a downhill race track with timed lanes, a jump track with overhead video screens, or a themed engine track with a double start point.
Race Your Car on a Digital Track!
After testing your car on all three physical tracks, move to the digital world with a specially designed virtual racing area!
In this exclusive experience, guests can use the provided scanner to transport their customized creation into the digital world! Use the software to add a personalized license plate and updated vehicle specifications – including engine size and tire upgrades.
After customizing their racers, guests can put their cars to the test on the virtual track! Complete three laps to improve your time and set your personal bests. Use the provided controls to give your racers a speed boost or to change lanes.
Display Your Design
After racing your car to your heart’s desire, make sure to show off your creation on the provided display shelf!
LEGO DUPLO® Build Zone
Toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy the LEGO® DUPLO Build Zone, complete with age-appropriate blocks and bite-sized racing tracks.
“We are happy to strengthen our collaboration with Merlin Entertainments, a key strategic partner for Ferrari, expanding our offering to engage Ferrari fans of all ages,” shared a Ferrari spokesperson. “After the success of the LEGO Ferrari Build and Race attractions at LEGOLAND® California Resort, LEGOLAND® Billund in Denmark and LEGOLAND® Windsor in the UK, we are delighted to open this attraction at LEGOLAND Florida Resort.”
