About SCREAM’D: An Unauthorized Musical Parody

Written and directed by Troy Heard with musical arrangements by Brandon Scott Grayson, SCREAM’D: An Unauthorized Musical Parody is a theatrical (and sometimes comical) retelling of the 1996 Ghostface tale. The show stays true to the source material, closely following the storyline of the film and featuring classic characters like Billy Loomis, Sidney Prescott, and Gale Weathers. Interspersed with popular 90’s tunes and fun choreography, this show is the perfect mixture of performance art, horror imagery, lively music, and fan-favorite storytelling.

SCREAM’D: An Unauthorized Musical Parody

When the lights dim, the Ghostface story begins – in a production that’s unlike anything I’ve seen before! The horror musical includes all your favorite Scream moments and kills as well as creepy takes on catchy songs like punk favorite “I’m Not Sick But I’m Not Well” and boyband classics like “Backstreet’s Back.”

More Happening at the Majestic Repertory Theatre

Located in the Las Vegas Arts District, the Majestic Repertory Theatre is home to a wide variety of immersive experiences and live performances. In addition to SCREAM’D: An Unauthorized Musical Parody, you can also check out Lifespan of a Fact – a play based on the book by John D’Agata and Jim Fingal.

Here’s a summary of the show – according to the Majestic Theatre’s website:
A Vegas Story: Jim Fingal is a fresh-out-of-Harvard fact checker for a prominent but sinking New York magazine. John D’Agata is a talented writer with a transcendent essay about the suicide of a teenage boy who fell from the Stratosphere – an essay that could save the magazine from collapse. When Jim is assigned to fact check D’Agata’s essay, they come head to head in a comedic yet gripping battle over facts versus truth.
