The CityArts Gallery (operated by the Downtown Arts District and located in the historic Roger Kiene Building in Downtown Orlando) recently revealed the newest addition to their upcoming Courtyard renovation and expansion – beautifully restored gates from the now-demolished Church Street Ballroom!
These iconic new gates are just the start of a detailed construction project that will transform the 20-foot wide, 90-foot deep outdoor space into a lush courtyard equipped with plenty of seating and adorned with wall murals. Once complete, it will be available for guest use during CityArts Gallery operating hours and rentable for private events.

We were delighted to attend the unveiling of these gorgeously refurbished gates, and they are incredible! Thank you, Downtown Arts District, for inviting us out!
Here’s a look at the big moment:
@freaks_of_hhn Last week, we were so thrilled to attend the groundbreaking of the new courtyard at the Roger Kiene Building (CityArts) in Downtown Orlando! During the ceremony, local artists revealed a set of reconstructed gates- and the finished product is BEAUTIFUL! #cityarts #downtownorlando #orlandoarts #orlando #orlandoflorida ♬ original sound – Freaks_of_HHN
