A Gaylord Palms original experience, ICE! has returned for the 2023 holiday season. Running now through January 3, this beloved Christmas tradition combines detailed, three-dimensional sculptures, lighting effects, and familiar characters to create an unforgettable walkthrough family-friendly adventure. This year’s theme, A Charlie Brown Christmas, is filled with nostalgic sights, sounds, and fun.
About ICE! at Gaylord Palms
An annual Central Florida favorite, ICE! is truly a unique option for your holiday itinerary. Taking place in the Gaylord Palms Convention Center, this walkthrough attraction offers a variety of ice sculptures and frozen activities. Crafted by true ice sculpting masters (event artists are flown in from Harbin, China – the home of the world famous Harbin Ice Festival), ICE! creations are made from over 6,700 frozen blocks of clear and colored ice. To keep these beautiful works of art from melting, Gaylord Palms keeps the venue at a beyond freezing 9º Fahrenheit.
The ICE! Experience
Visitors will find ICE! in the hotel’s Alpine Village, a seasonal area full of Christmas-themed activities like pictures with Santa, indoor sledding, and more. Find out more about Gaylord’s Alpine Village and other wintery attractions at christmasatgaylordpalms.com.
After scanning their ticket, guests will don a hotel-provided, blue parka and enter ICE! Groups can take their time enjoying each of the ten immersive and incredibly detailed scenes and posing for plenty of photos. There are no specific time limits inside the attraction (other than your body’s ability to handle the extreme cold, of course). On average, groups spend between 20-40 minutes inside ICE!
A Charlie Brown Christmas
This year’s theme, A Charlie Brown Christmas, includes larger-than-life scenes with your favorite Peanuts characters. Sights include themed photo opportunities, Snoopy’s Doghouse, Lucy’s Psychiatric Help booth, Charlie Brown and Linus finding a perfect Christmas tree, and of course, a grand finale with the whole gang!
In addition to the traditional sculptures and scenes, A Charlie Brown Christmas includes an icy playground with frozen slides and structures to explore.
O Holy Night Annual Nativity Scene
After spending time with the Peanuts kids, enjoy Gaylord Palms’ annual homage to the traditional Christmas Story. This Nativity scene is made entirely out of crystal clear ice and special lighting effects for a breathtaking display!

It’s truly a great event for all ages, families, and friend groups. We had a fantastic time exploring this attraction, and I highly recommend it for everyone’s holiday itinerary!
Know Before You Go
- Gaylord Palms will provide a blue parka for all guests. It is required that you wear the parka during your time inside ICE!
- Bring a hat, gloves, closed-toed shoes, heavy socks, and other clothing items to stay comfortable inside the attraction.
- Your ICE! ticket does not include parking. You will need to pay the parking attendant when leaving the Gaylord Palms lot.
