Halloween might be behind us, but there’s still more fear to be found at the Central Florida Fairgrounds! November 2-3, enjoy a horror-themed Double Feature with TWO immersive haunted trails, lots of vendors and refreshments, and terrifying live entertainment. Presented by Orlando-based haunts Tales of Terror and The Neverending Nightmare, this event offers high intensity scares, creepy sets and stories, and personalized interactions with talented performers!
We were SO THRILLED to be invited to check out this unique haunted event. Thank you, Tales of Terror and The Neverending Nightmare, for inviting us out. Now, let’s explore all the post-Halloween goodness waiting for you at this horrifying Double Feature event!

The Double Feature Experience
In addition to the attractions, the Double Feature event includes a wide variety of vendors, artisans, and live performers. Before, after, or in between your haunted experiences, check out a selection of psychics, oddity vendors, fandom artists, fire dancers, and jaw-dropping aerialist acts!

High Intensity Haunts
When entering the Double Feature, you have the option to purchase a high-intensity experience upgrade. Indicated by wearing a glow necklace, choosing the high-intensity option will allow the scaractors to touch you, grab you, separate you from your group, put substances on your body, or force feed you items (including bugs). You can take off the necklace at any time if you want to return to a more traditional haunted house experience. I chose to wear the glow necklace for both trails!
Tales of Terror’s GENOCORP

Themed as a corrupt pharmaceutical facility, the GENOCORP Trail features disturbing medical imagery (including syringes and needles – my absolute worst nightmare), extended interactions with performers, and lots of scares! Taking approximately 6-10 minutes to complete the whole trail, GENOCORP is FULL of detailed sets and props that add to the overall story.
I highly encourage attendees to try the higher intensity option for this trail. While I was a bit intimidated by the “force feeding” part of the experience, Tales of Terror’s actors are adept at reading body language and respecting the boundaries of their visitors. While they did ask me to eat a few items, I only accepted the ones I was comfortable (or at least not completely opposed to) trying. And no one actually forced me to do anything. They did put a few icky substances on me, but they washed off easily and added to the gritty overall experience of the haunt.
If you’re an experienced haunt-goer, I highly recommend trying out this more “extreme” fear experience. Tales of Terror provides a safe environment to push your limits and try new things without crossing your boundaries or overextending your capacity for fear. Their performers are super sensitive and pay attention to individual guests and their reactions – resulting in personalized interactions and immersive, horror-themed experiences for every guest!
The Neverending Nightmare’s Tormented: Curse of the Bayou

Another immersive and outdoor haunted trail, The Neverending Nightmare’s Tormented: Curse of the Bayou features a detailed facade with a live, sideshow performer!

Inside the Tormented trail, there were a variety of Bayou-themed scenes and effects. Wearing the glow necklace, I was touched by several of the performers and had a little bit of mud smeared on my arm. But overall, this high intensity trail was totally manageable. I recommend trying it out!
Freaky Thoughts: Double Feature Tales of Terror and Neverending Nightmare
As a longtime fan of Tales of Terror, I am always impressed by their attention to detail, horrifying stories, and innovative scares. And as a first time guest to a Neverending Nightmare haunt, I very much enjoyed their fun facade, gory props, and unsettling performer interactions. If you’re looking for a way to extend your haunt season, DON’T MISS the Double Feature with Tales of Terror and The Neverending Nightmare!
