The Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast Experience
Located near the front of the park in the brand new Minion Land, the attraction brings guests straight to the vendor floor at Villain-Con – the largest convention for villains and bad guys in existence. The headlining competition for this notorious event is a large-scale, interactive battle for the right to become part of the infamous Vicious 6!
Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast Queue
Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast features a highly-themed interior queue. Upon entering the ride building, guests will find themselves immersed in the Villain-Con vendor floor – complete with detailed displays for companies like Malicious Motors, Diabolique, and Unlawful Outfitters.
Boarding Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast
After browsing the trade show area, it’s time for riders to grab their state-of-the-art E-Liminator X Blaster. Team members will briefly instruct guests how to use the weapon before directing them to a moving walkway. For safety and security, remember to stay on your marked dot!
Syncing Your Ride with Your Phone App
Using the Universal Orlando app, guests can personalize their Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast experience with special missions and digital collectibles. Make sure you sync your blaster before boarding the moving walkway for the safest and most enjoyable experience.
Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast
Once you step aboard the moving walkway, it’s time to play! Guests will enter multiple, highly-themed scenes including a groovy disco, art museum, and underwater lair. Each room consists of a combination of screen-based gaming areas, soundscapes and physical effects to create a totally immersive and interactive experience!
The Freaky Thought
Wow! What a cool addition to Universal Studios Florida’s already exciting line up of attractions. While Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is definitely slower-paced than some of the park’s other rides, it provides an innovative, fun, and family-friendly experience that the whole family (except for handheld infants) can enjoy together!
I’m not much of a game player, but I really enjoyed the ride’s theming and interactive features. I was also impressed with the detailed scenery and personalization options integrated with the Universal app.
