A unique haunted attraction in Sebring, Florida; the Terror Trail is a 3/4 mile woodland path- full of unsettling creatures, spooky set pieces, and innovative scares. Sponsored by Dr. Daniel Parnassa and organized as a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Highlands County, Terror Trail relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to operate its memorable yearly event. And as of right now, they are still in need of scaractor and performer volunteers for the 2023 season!
What is the Sebring Terror Trail?

The Terror Trail is an outdoor, haunted experience with multiple themed zones. Each zone features unique storylines, characters, and scare tactics; creating a totally immersive experience! Last year was my first visit to this Sebring attraction, and I was so impressed! Not only does the trail take up to 25-30 minutes to complete (depending on your individual walking pace), it includes incredibly claustrophobic passages, sensory deprivation, and extended character interactions. If you haven’t already experienced the Terror Trail (also known as the longest haunted trail in the state of Florida), check out my coverage of last year’s event.
The 2023 Terror Trail Needs Your Help!

Running every Friday and Saturday from September 29 through the end of October, Terror Trail will return in 2023. But they need your help! In order to operate at its highest capacity (and therefore raise as much money for the animal shelter as possible) Terror Trail needs to fill a variety of volunteer scaractor positions.

Needed volunteer roles include:
- Scarecrows
- Clowns
- Graveyard Ghosts
- And Some Chainsaw Characters

Can you volunteer for the 2023 Terror Trail? Volunteers need to be at least 16 years old and willing to work in outdoor conditions. Scaractors will need to arrive by 6pm each evening in order to get into costume/makeup and to receive any last minute training.
The Terror Trail has open volunteer shifts for several of the event dates, however, the greatest need falls on September 29 and 30 and October 13 and 14! If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering for Terror Trail, please call 863-440-6272. And don’t forget to follow Terror Trail on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates!
