At this afternoon’s much anticipated Midsummer Scream panel, Hollywood HHN leader John Murdy announced two very exciting attractions coming to this year’s Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood: a new maze, Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America and a new scare zone, El Terror De Las Momias.

The maze includes a variety of terrifying monsters taken from the lore of Latin American countries. Only three were mentioned during the presentation, but more could be announced at a later date.

Of course, Universal Studios Hollywood isn’t going to give away all the secrets of this upcoming attraction. But they did share a few highlights and awesome effects we can expect inside…

Wow! This maze sounds incredibly intense, and I am so excited to see it this fall.
New Scare Zone: El Terror De Las Momias
Right outside Monstruos will be a brand new scare zone El Terror De Las Momias.

In this zone, Muerte (the original character from the Monstruos maze) has dug up an ancient Aztec burial ground – connecting the lore between the two attractions!

What an awesome announcement from HHN Hollywood! I adored their La Llorona maze from 2022, and I anticipate the Monstruos house will be just as terrifying. Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood begins on September 7. Check out halloweenhorrornights.com for more information and to buy your tickets.
