Created in partnership between Universal Creative and Illumination, the upcoming attraction Villain-Con Minion Blast will combine immersive sets, interactive game-based technology, customized animation, and a totally new storyline to deliver a unique and family-friendly blaster attraction!
What To Expect at Villain-Con Minion Blast
Upon entering this groundbreaking attraction, guests will be transported to Villain-Con – the largest convention for villains and bad guys in existence. The headlining competition of this notorious event is a challenge to see who has the guts to become part of the famous Vicious 6. As guests peruse the trade show floor, they’ll browse various weapons before settling on the “E-Liminator X” blaster.
Equipped with Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks, and more; guests will cause as much mayhem as possible to earn points and win their spot in the Vicious 6! Gliding along a moving pathway, they’ll encounter each member of the group (voiced by the original cast from the Despicable Me films) in a setting inspired by their infamous characters.

Villain-Con Minion Blast will also feature a connected gameplay experience in the Universal Orlando Resort App. By syncing their ride with their phone application, guests can unlock special challenges, earn points, and win digital collectibles during their Despicable Me-themed visit.
