Friday and Saturday evenings through July 29, come out to Six Flags Over Georgia to enjoy their Summer Nights Spectacular! Running from 3-9:30pm in the Metropolis area of the park, this seasonal event includes live entertainment, specialty food and beverage, merchandise options, and a gorgeous fireworks display. There’s something for everyone in your friend or family group!
We were so thrilled to be invited out to Six Flags Over Georgia to visit their Summer Nights Spectacular event. We had an absolutely amazing time, and I can’t wait to tell you all about our exciting experience. Thank you, Six Flags, for inviting us out!
Six Flags Summer Nights Spectacular
As previously noted, the Summer Nights Spectacular activities are located in the Metropolis area of the theme park. The festival section includes plenty of available seating, refreshment booths, and carnival games. It’s also conveniently located near popular rides like SUPERMAN: Ultimate Flight, The Great American Scream Machine, and JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis. With all of these exciting amenities and attractions, Metropolis is the perfect setting for such a fun and lighthearted event.

Specialty Food and Beverage
Throughout the festival area, you will find dedicated booths featuring summer-themed food and beverage options. Some of the available menus include a selection of patriotic mocktails, loaded macaroni and cheese, beef sliders, and a variety of sweets and desserts. I tried two vastly different menu items – the Spicy Chicken Mac & Cheese and Super Chicago Dog!
Spicy Chicken Mac & Cheese
Loaded with spicy breaded chicken, blue cheese topping, and ranch dressing; this option was super satisfying to a huge buffalo wing fan like myself. The dish was incredibly cheesy and there were plenty of toppings! I only wish the dish came in a slightly larger bowl.
Super Chicago Dog
The Super Chicago Dog included a fried pickle, shredded cheese, creamy Texas petal sauce, and pico de gallo. Served on a poppy seed bun, this was definitely a more filling option than the Mac & Cheese bowl (and still incredibly yummy!).

Live Entertainment
Next to the SUPERMAN entrance, you’ll find a huge dance area with live DJ, regular lessons, character meet and greets, and even some wacky, waving, inflatable tube people.

Looking for that perfect Instagram-able shot? Check out the summertime-themed photo backdrops scattered around the festival area.
Merchandise
At the event’s Glow booth, you can stock up on nighttime gear like light up swords and bubble blowers.
Fireworks
Every event night ends with a gorgeous fireworks display! Featuring modern music and a variety of huge fireworks, this show starts at 9:15pm and lasts approximately ten minutes.
Our Experience: Six Flags Summer Nights Spectacular
We had so much fun exploring Summer Nights Spectacular. It was a great way to enhance our day at Six Flags Over Georgia, and it definitely added a bit of lighthearted fun to our evening hours. The food was delicious, the entertainment was super cute, and the fireworks were a memorable way to end the night.
