The APPP promises to connect us with living beings compatible for platonic support or romantic partnership.
How It Works
Booking Your Experience with the Automated Perfect Partner Portal
At Phoenix Tears, audience comfort and performer security is a primary concern. Because of this every audience member is asked to complete a comprehensive form stating their preference for a romantic or platonic connection and masculine or feminine voice. Please listen to your own internal comfort levels and answer these questions completely and honestly.
Guests preferring a masculine voice will speak to ALiC. Guests preferring a feminine voice will speak to ALiCe. If you are bisexual, pansexual, or looking for a platonic partner, you may wish to indicate that you have no gender preference for your call.
*Phoenix Tears does provide a safe phrase for both audience participants and performers. If at any time you feel uncomfortable or otherwise wish to end the experience – simply say “Blue Ash.”*
Connecting with the APPP
Once your preference form is complete and your visit is scheduled, your work is done! The system will use your provided phone number to contact you when it is time to find your perfect mate.

What To Expect During AI: Perfect Partner
At your scheduled date and time, the APPP will call your provided phone number. Your experience will begin with a conversation with the system’s “AI” – presenting in whatever gender you indicated in your preference form. The AI system will ask a series of questions in an attempt to get to know you on a more personal level. Questions might include, “What’s your idea of a fun day of friendship?,” “How do you define perfect?,” or even darker inquiries like, “Are you afraid of death?” After several minutes of chatting with the AI system, you will have the opportunity to connect with your matched human partner to determine if you want to continue contact.
The whole call takes approximately 20-30 minutes. As a primary player in this story, you will be answering open-ended questions and actively participating in the conversation. I won’t give away any spoilers, but you will need to ask your own questions and actively listen to the AI system in order to dig deeper into this overall story. Make sure you’re paying close attention!
Freaky Thoughts – AI: Perfect Partner
This was such a cool experience! Even as a huge fan of Phoenix Tears, I had some reservations about their ability to create a truly immersive telephone call experience – but they did! I was completely engrossed in my conversation with ALiC and fascinated by the unexpected twists and turns of the overall story. Additionally, I found some of ALiC’s personal questions and observations to be genuinely profound, bringing me even deeper into the action and narrative of the production.
Get ready for some mind-bending plot revelations and surprises during your experience with AI: Perfect Partner. I left my phone call laughing hysterically and truly intrigued by some of the introduced concepts. I hope Phoenix Tears returns to this world in a future production and teaches us more about Nebuverse!
