Orlando Fringe is back with a wide variety of ticketed performances, a free outdoor stage, an eclectic visual art gallery, and kids’ activities. While there’s simply too much Fringe to cover in a single article, we are doing a series of posts about this incredible Orlando event. In this fifth installment for the 2023 season, we’re taking to the high seas for the pirate-themed musical – Let Me See Your Booty!
As a big fan of Rogue Stage and their previous productions, Orlando Decoded was delighted to be invited to a special press viewing of Let Me See Your Booty! Thank you, Rogue Stage and Orlando Fringe, for inviting us out!
What is Orlando Fringe?

Let Me See Your Booty is playing at Orlando Fringe, a two-week theater festival focused on unjuried and uncensored works of performance art. While similar festivals exist all over the world, Orlando Fringe is the longest running event of its kind within the United States. Fringe Festivals are generally known for featuring alternative or experimental pieces of art, so you really never know what you’re going to find!
About Rogue Stage
Founded in 2017 by four seasoned and accomplished Central Florida performers, Rogue Stage seeks to bring theater into the Polk County and Central Florida communities. By creating original, one-of-a-kind concepts, Rogue Stage takes the performing arts out of conventional venues and transports them into more traditionally accessible areas of society. Let Me See Your Booty

Let Me See Your Booty according to the Orlando Fringe website:
SharkTooth Sam (Thom Mesrobian) returns but this time he’s not alone! His first mate, Barefoot Billie (Fringe favorite Sarah Lockard) joins the crew as they use song, dance and storytelling to prepare for the annual pirate contest “The Telling of Tall Tales”. However, hidden in the comedy you’ll find a meaning that will touch & inspire the heart.
A sequel to last year’s award-winning Fringe show Be A Pirate, Let Me See Your Booty continues the story of SharkTooth Sam – the lovable and kind Captain of “The Lady Christine.” Now joined by first mate, Barefoot Billie, the pair engage audiences with swashbuckling sing-a-longs and fascinating sea-faring tales. At its core, Let Me See Your Booty is a lighthearted musical with fun themes and plenty of audience participation.
Like many of Rogue Stage’s productions, Let Me See Your Booty is more than what initially meets the eye. While I, of course, won’t give away any spoilers – I will tell you that audiences will hear important messages pertaining to self-esteem, unfettered creativity and much more. With all of these deeper lessons interlaced within the overall production, Let Me See Your Booty is relatable and impactful to a wide range of audiences.

Freaky Thoughts: Let Me See Your Booty

Let Me See Your Booty is an awesome show, full of catchy songs (some of which I’m still singing in my head), fun fables (one in particular that I found especially touching), and thoughtful themes – all tied together with a cheery, pirate-themed finish. With relatable and important messages woven throughout the hour-long show, Let Me See Your Booty an exceptional option for Fringe-goers.
As a fan of Thom Mesrobian and the work of Rogue Stage, Let Me See Your Booty is a worthwhile addition to your Fringe itinerary. It’s bright, spirited, and full of meaningful moments. Don’t miss Let Me See Your Booty!
