Based on beloved (and original) characters from the Plant City spooky attraction Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail, don’t miss the third installment (and terrifying finale) of the Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales book series! Arising this September, Book 3 will bring a frightening conclusion to the stories of Boggy Meadow and its horrifying inhabitants.
I recently got to chat with Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales authors Amanda Rosenblatt and Brad Acevedo – local horror lovers, haunted attraction enthusiasts, and all around awesome people – about the upcoming third book as well as the previous novels in the series. Thank you, Amanda and Brad, for taking the time to discuss your work with me. Now, let’s explore Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales and its much-anticipated third book!

Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales: Books 1 and 2
Essentially love letters to haunted attractions (especially the creative storylines and welcoming atmosphere found at Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail), the Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales series is based on iconic, original characters from the Plant City landmark. While these books are inspired by regionally known figures, they are designed as standalone works to be enjoyed by any horror fan. Whether you’ve previously visited the attraction or just adore spooky stories and themes, you can appreciate the Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales trilogy.
Have you read the original Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales and its sequel Love’s Revenge? If not, let me introduce you!
Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales: Book 1

Meticulously researched for period authenticity, Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales travels back to the 1900s and beyond to tell the origin stories and histories of some of the haunt’s most beloved and recognizable characters. Structured as an anthology of short stories, featured tales include Pyrum, Vex, Kane, Poppy, and, of course, Sir Henry himself. In a unique form of storytelling, Amanda used a combination of existing accounts from the Florida famous attraction and her own imagination to create the terrifying narratives.
Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales Book 2: Love’s Revenge

While the second book includes the origin stories of even more Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail characters (including the Christmas Elves, Mister Peebles, Fred, and The Storyteller), it also follows Sir Henry’s struggles to lead his chosen family through The Great Depression, town prejudice, and a terrible curse.
Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales: Book 3

A work of serialized storytelling, the upcoming final installment will bring an exciting conclusion to the action and suspense (and remaining questions) of the first two books as well as the character development of Sir Henry and many of his friends. But if after reading Book #3 you’re still craving more of Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales, don’t worry! In 2024, the attraction will release a compendium including copies of all three novels as well as a collection of short stories wrapping up any unfinished business from the overall trilogy.
Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales Book 3 will feature gothic style cover art created by artist Patrick Brown (you can see examples of his work on Instagram). While the official title and cover have not yet been released, you should stay tuned to Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail’s Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts for any coming announcements.
Where to Find Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales Book 3

While Sir Henry’s Haunted Tales Book 3 won’t be released until this September, you will be able to purchase it (along with the previous two novels) on either Amazon.com or onsite at Sir Henry’s Swag Shop. If you prefer ebook reading, a Kindle version will be released in 2024.
