The second annual “Orlando’s Next Cabaret Superstar” is coming to a close, and you can still grab tickets to the Grand Finale on May 1st! With a total of sixteen incredible finalists competing for a $500 grand prize and their own show at the Ren Theatre, it’s sure to be an exciting evening full of great music and lots of fun.
Presented as part of the Ren Theatre’s Musical Mondays programming, “Orlando’s Next Cabaret Superstar” has been running for the last four weeks. During the competition, Orlando performers have taken the stage to sing in categories like Go-To Song, 11 O’Clock Number, and Dream Roles.
“Orlando has a thriving community of performers, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the talent we see each week at Musical Mondays,” says host Blake Auburn, “We see people from Orlando go to American Idol and The Voice all the time – we figured it was time to create our own local competition too.”
