Earlier this week, we were so thrilled to attend a special media preview for the Lonely Dog Immersive Experience on International Drive. This extraordinary attraction includes a 30-minute, 360° projected show, an art gallery, children’s studio exhibit, a Selfie Salon, VR Lounge, and even a gorgeous and highly themed ball pit! (Yes, that’s right – A BALL PIT) With all of these family-friendly activities and unique attractions, The Lonely Dog Immersive Experience has something for everyone in your group.

I had such an amazing time exploring the Lonely Dog Immersive Experience and all of its offerings. It’s truly an exceptional addition to the Central Florida attraction landscape, and I can’t wait to tell you about it. Thank you, Lonely Dog Immersive Experience, for inviting us out!
Who is the Lonely Dog?

Created by New Zealand artist Ivan Clarke, Lonely Dog started as a series of over 200 whimsical and fanciful paintings featuring anthropomorphic dogs and cats. Evolving into a full-length novel with specially branded merchandise, the Lonely Dog Immersive Experience takes guests even further into the world of Alveridge and its dynamic characters.
The Story of Lonely Dog
From the Lonely Dog website:
Lonely Dog is a reluctant hero who strives to overcome prejudice and displacement imposed upon hounds by the ruling-class Felines. This orphaned pup’s quest reveals his destiny, but not before he confronts his inner struggles and reconciles his true self. His songs of freedom become anthems for change, paving the way towards unity. His is a harrowing adventure in which he overcomes persecution and sorrow, ultimately finding redemption for all “hound-kind!”

The Lonely Dog Immersive Experience

Arrival

Located at the Orlando International Premium Outlets, the Lonely Dog Immersive Experience begins with a captivating, 360° multimedia presentation. With showtimes starting every thirty minutes, you’ll want to arrive a little bit early for your selected time slot. While you wait for your turn to enter the theater, you can peruse an expansive retail store filled with branded merchandise, copies of the Lonely Dog novel, and a plush sitting area.

360° Immersive Show
Once your showtime has arrived, head through the mineshaft and begin your journey through the world of Lonely Dog!

The 30 minute, 360° production is filled with moving paintings, a variety of gorgeous animations, and foot-stomping original music. Telling the story of Arthur Snout (AKA the Lonely Dog) and his quest to free his fellow hounds from the oppressive feline rule, Lonely Dog includes inspiring themes of love, loss, perseverance, and victory. Guests are welcome to remain in the theater for as long as they’d like, even taking in multiple showings of the 360° film.

After the show, there’s still plenty to do and see! Head through the Hall of Frames for your next stop: the Art Gallery.

Art Gallery

While the original paintings are located inside the Ivan Clarke Gallery in Queenstown, New Zealand; you can view reproductions of Lonely Dog artwork in the onsite exhibition.

Freaky Thoughts: The Lonely Dog Immersive Experience
Wow! I ADORED my visit to the Lonely Dog Immersive Experience. The 360° show is absolutely breathtaking and filled with incredible original music. And the other exhibits are such a blast to explore. My favorite part was the beautifully themed ball pit area (something you can’t easily find in Florida attractions).
If you enjoy visual art and inspirational tales, I recommend checking out Lonely Dog Immersive Experience. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind attraction and definitely worth a visit. Plus, it’s a great way to introduce kids to the arts!
