Tron Lightcycle Run cast member previews have begun at Magic Kingdom. We were fortunate to get in to see it all and below is our review.

When first walking up to enter you will notice a set of bikes you can sit on and test out to feel the position you will be in while riding. It is also a great spot to grab some pics with friends. Before you board there are lockers available to store all of your loose articles. You can film a POV with an approved chest harness for your gopro or camera. We had a wrist strap at first and they made us store it in a little compartment on the bike.
The queue and ride follow the them of the 1982 film. The whole area is very well done and you will be amazed by how much detail was put into the whole area. After the queue riders will board a motorcycle type ride vehicle. You will then straddle the Lightcycle laying forward partially on the Lightcycle, the handlebars pull towards you and the back harness locks riders into place.

The ride itself is very smooth and travels inside and outside with a launch speed of 60 MPH. There can be some discomfort when riding due to the position of how the ride locks you into place and having to basically lay down. The ride takes guests through the story with all sorts of effects including orange and blue changing lighting outside. You will also experience all sorts of twists and turns which makes Tron so exciting and worth the wait.
Tron Lightcycle Run at Walt Disney World is still in cast member preview and just opened reservations for pass holders. Tron will open to all guests April 4th and will only be available through the virtual queue. Are you ready to ride Tron?
