Enjoy the Winter Carnival at Oviedo Mall Now Through February 12!

Looking for something to do with the family this weekend? If you find yourself in Northeast Orlando, look no further than the Oviedo Mall, where their Winter Carnival is in full swing! Running daily through February 12th, this family-friendly offering has all the fun and excitement you’d expect from a local fair. This week we were invited to check it out, and we’re excited to tell you all about it — thank you, Oviedo Mall, for having us!

Welcome to the Oviedo Mall Winter Carnival!

Located right in the mall’s parking lot (directly in front of Oviedo Brewing Company), there are a wide assortment of rides, skill-based games, merchandise offerings, and, of course, fair food! You’ll find ticket booths at each carnival entrance, selling a variety of ride ticket packages. Or you can opt for an unlimited ride wristband for $35.

The Attractions

There are lots of rides and attractions to experience, no matter your age group or thrill preference. Little ones will enjoy the carousel or mini cars; thrill seekers can take a spin on Invasion or Pharaoh’s Fury; and the whole family will love seeing new heights from the Ferris wheel or shifting their perspective in the storybook-themed fun house.

The Games

If giant plushies and gloating rights are more your speed, you can try your hand at a variety of skill-based games. You’ll find all of the classics here, so whether you want to purposefully pop balloons, go head-to-head in a water gun race, or throw a few basketballs (or maybe just catch a fish or rubber ducky for a guaranteed prize), nobody needs to leave empty handed!

The Food

No carnival is complete without an array of refreshments you can enjoy on the go, and we found plenty of options here. There were, of course, the standard fair offerings like cotton candy, funnel cakes, and fried pickles. But we also found more unique savory items like chicken shish kabobs, roasted corn, and Philly cheesesteaks, so consider dinner and dessert covered!

The Merchandise

If you didn’t get that prize you were hoping to win on the midway, maybe some shopping will satisfy your craving. There are several merchandise locations scattered around the fair, and you’ll find hats, jewelry, toy swords, plushes, and collectibles for all sorts of tastes and budgets.

Freaky Thoughts: Oviedo Mall Winter Carnival

Fairs tend to come down to personal preference, but if they’re your scene, the Oviedo Winter Carnival is one worth checking out. Being at the mall means it’s conveniently located, free parking is abundant, and everything is clean and well-lit. Plus, while you’re there you can enjoy all of the unique stores and dining the Oviedo Mall has to offer, and after all, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!
