For years, JourneywithJosh has brought viewers up close and personal with some of Tampa and Orlando’s best attractions. But now, Josh will be more exclusively focused on a different type of encounter. Using real ghost hunting equipment and a wealth of subject knowledge, Josh is moving from traditional attraction vlogs to a more documentary-style approach – exploring the most haunted places he can find!
Originally premiering in 2022, Beyond the Journey (the paranormal section of JourneywithJosh) includes in depth investigation footage of various haunted sites and creepy locations. Seasons 1 and 2 visited places like the old Hamilton County Jail, Arcadia Opera House, St. Petersburg’s Cordova Inn, and more. The upcoming Season 3: The Skeptic will take us to even more spooky locales and ghostly scenes.
I recently had the awesome opportunity to sit down with Josh and discuss his newest season of Beyond the Journey as well as his ghost hunting background and paranormal interests. I even got to attend a special screening of one of the upcoming documentaries, and it was so fascinating! Thank you, Josh, for having me out and for taking the time to chat!
About Josh
A self-taught and passionate ghost hunting enthusiast, Josh has been intrigued by the paranormal for as long as he can remember. As an avid fan of UFO legends and interactions with unexplainable phenomenon, Josh has an innate talent for recognizing paranormal activity, interpreting the spirit world, and translating his experiences for the general public – which, of course, makes him the perfect host for this type of investigative documentary!
With the expansion of his channel and content, Josh hopes to educate viewers about the realities of ghost hunting and evidence-based spirit encounters. Officially releasing next month, Beyond the Journey’s Season 3 will take us to five of the most haunted places in Florida (the SpookEasy in Ybor City, the Victory Ship in Tampa’s Channelside and more). Often the first team to investigate these iconic locations, these episodes are full of intriguing ghost hunting evidence and fascinating Florida history.
Entitled “The Skeptic,” Season 3 will dive deeper into the spirit world and paranormal happenings than ever before! Practiced in his investigation techniques and equipment prowess, Josh is able to relate to the ghosts in a more personal and impactful manner – resulting in compelling evidence and interactions that will test the most fervent deniers. Josh promises viewers one thing about these upcoming episodes – you won’t be skeptical anymore!
Freaky Thoughts: Beyond The Journey
As someone who 100% believes in ghosts but has always been a little hesitant about ghost hunting practices and paranormal investigations, I am fascinated and intrigued by some of the footage I’ve seen for this new season. Without giving away too many spoilers, I will tell you that Josh was able to capture some truly astonishing moments that can’t be easily explained or dismissed. One particular clip had me audibly gasping, glued to my screen, and hungry for more details about their experience. I can’t wait to watch the rest of the investigation next month!
