Earlier this month, Orlando Fringe opened a brand new, permanent space in Downtown Orlando! Measuring at 91,000 square feet, the Fringe ArtSpace is dedicated to creating a community of artists and art lovers right in the heart of the City Beautiful. And one of the first productions to take the stage will play this weekend – VarieTEASE Genesis!
As part of an artistic burlesque series created by Central Florida legend Blue Star, VarieTEASE Genesis is a celebration of beginnings and rebirth. We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Blue to discuss her upcoming production and history with Orlando Fringe. I’m so excited to tell you all about it. Thank you, Blue, for chatting with me!

About VarieTEASE Genesis
According to the Fringe ArtSpace website, VarieTEASE Genesis is:
An extension of the last installment of VarieTEASE On The Move which tells the story of closing of the unique Theatre THE VENUE and the four years following. The growth, healing and start of a NEW certainly captivate the story, but have no fear, the nostalgic avant-garde story telling that is VarieTEASE is very apparent and lends itself to the part of the plot that “makes no sense”. And you won’t want to miss the new featured talent that is the future of this legendary ensemble.

With a compelling mixture of storytelling, music, and dance; VarieTEASE Genesis explores the themes of contemporary culture, social adaptation, and vibrant rebirth. Designed to encourage self-reflection and the abandonment of inhibitions, audiences are invited to find their own meanings and morals inside this beautiful, stage-based production. If you’re a fan of burlesque performances or dance-inspired art, you’re bound to appreciate these deep themes and exceptional storytelling methods. Don’t miss VarieTEASE!
How to Get Tickets

VarieTEASE Genesis will run January 26-29 at Downtown Orlando’s Fringe ArtSpace (54 W Church St). It is possible that these performances will sell out, so be sure to buy your tickets today! You can secure your seat on the theater’s website.
