Founded by Robin Hofmann, an award-winning writer, director, and producer, Hoffy’s Heart Productions is a local media company dedicated to highlighting and showcasing individuals with special needs and their extraordinary stories. With a focus on impactful messages and principled themes, Hoffy’s Heart Productions brings a truly unique perspective to the world of filmmaking.
Recently, we got to talk with Robin about the history of Hoffy’s Heart Productions and its current projects. I am so thrilled to be able to share with you a little bit about this awesome company. Thank you, Robin, for chatting!
Who is Robin Hofmann?
Born with a passion for helping others, Robin has not always been involved in the film industry. In fact, after getting her degree in psychology, Robin spent 27 years working with individuals with special needs and disabilities. Wanting to increase community visibility and compassion for this moving population, Robin began producing an online show. Highlighting “ordinary people with extraordinary stories,” Chat With Me featured a series of interviews with inspiring guests.
The immense success of Chat With Me (and Bake With Me – a cooking show focused on gluten-free recipes) awakened a new interest and career path for Ms. Hofmann. Finding a love for the art and medium of film, Robin wrote and produced her very first short movie in 2020.

Since her initial short film, Hoffy’s Heart Productions has created multiple works of varying length and subject matter. But they all have one thing in common – true emotion, heartfelt messages, and moral themes. Here are a few examples of the company’s most recent and notable works:
Special Tee
Working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida, Hoffy’s Heart Productions granted Grace Harkin’s one true dream – starring in her own movie. With the support of over 60 volunteers, the company produced Special Tee – an anti-bullying story about finding the confidence to be yourself.

Dance for Me
Most recently, Hoffy’s Heart Productions completed Dance for Me – a film about an unlikely friendship between a teenage boy and his elderly neighbor. While the film has not yet been widely released, it has already won multiple awards such as Best Director at the Orlando Urban Film Festival and Director’s Choice at the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival.
