Tales of Terror, an Orlando haunted attraction providing immersive and personalized horror-themed experiences; will open later this month with a full-length spooky trail, Zombie Gellyball, local vendors, and more! Originally founded in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashes’ Tales of Terror is known for its original storylines, performer interactions, and sensory-sensitive accommodations. As someone who has followed this haunt since its beginnings, I am SO THRILLED to see this Halloween event come to life.
Recently, we had the awesome opportunity to chat with Tales of Terror Creator Ashley Miller to discuss what guests might expect at this season’s upcoming attraction. Thank you, Ashely, for taking the time to speak with us!
What To Expect at Tales of Terror

As Ashes’ largest event to date (though this is just a taste of what is to come in future years), Tales of Terror 2022 will include a wide array of entertainment choices. Enjoy the immersive haunted trail. Play a game of Zombie Gellyball, or shop for horror-themed merchandise from a variety of local vendors. There’s something for every spooky fan!
Let’s take a closer look at all there will be to see and do at Tales of Terror Haunted Attraction:
The Wasteland

The centerpiece of Tales of Terror Haunted Attraction, The Wasteland is a full-length spooky trail featuring a forbidden Florida bayou. Recently conquered by Ashes, an evil demon bringing chaos and destruction wherever she goes, this Wasteland is full of sadistic killers and terrifying creatures. Will you escape or fall victim to a miserable fate?

Like everyone else, I have yet to travel into The Wasteland. However, I have experienced multiple Ashes’ attractions, and I am always impressed. Dedicated to creating immersive stories and environments, Tales of Terror haunts are always filled with detailed sets and interactive performers. The characters make a point of creating unique moments and conversations with guests, resulting in a personalized experience that simply cannot be repeated – even on multiple trips through the same attraction. So no matter how many times you decide to visit The Wasteland – your experience will never be exactly the same!
For a more intense experience…

If you’re a seasoned haunt-goer or thrill seeker looking for a more intense experience, consider the $5 glow necklace add-on. Those wearing a special glow necklace will be subject to additional scares, potentially including being touched by the performers, extreme interactions with The Wasteland’s monsters, and even extra show scenes. Please remember that, due to the highly personalized nature of the haunt, every individual’s experience will vary.
Zombie Gellyball

A less messy and painful version of paintball, you can add a game of Zombie Gellyball to your Tales of Terror experience. Playing against your family, friends, and a few extra monsters, this game is hosted by Warrior Sports Park and can be included in your ticket package.
Other Onsite Sports
With several available fields, Warrior Sports Park also includes laser tag, paintball, and Airsoft games. If you’re interested in adding one of these experiences to your evening, you can find more information on the Warrior Sports Park website.
Food Vendors
For those wanting a bite to eat before their trip through The Wasteland, Tales of Terror will feature a rotating selection of local food trucks. While the exact offering will vary depending on the date of your visit, confirmed options include Mexican street weens from Cholo Dogs, savory meats from Eastside BBQ, or artisan sandwiches from Between Breads.

Spooky Market
And (assuming you survive The Wasteland’s monsters) don’t forget to shop horror and Halloween-themed merchandise at the Spooky Market! With a variety of Central Florida-based artists and vendors, this is a great place to support small businesses!
*Are you interested in participating as a merchandise vendor? Email Ashley at ashestalesofterror@gmail.com! There is still table space available, and she would love to talk with you!*
