With over 30 years of recipe-perfecting experience, Brother Jimmy’s is bringing its classic North Carolina BBQ and friendly vibes to the Sunshine State! Now open at International Drive’s ICON Park, visitors can enjoy legendary food, massive drinks, and real Southern hospitality right here in Central Florida.

The Brother Jimmy’s Story

Originally founded in 1989 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Brother Jimmy’s seeks to “Put Some South in Yo’ Mouth” and bring a real taste of North Carolina cooking and merriment to the rest of the East Coast. Introducing a brand new location in one of Florida’s busiest vacation districts, Brother Jimmy’s provides a friendly place for tourists and locals to spend time with friends, watch the big game, or catch up with family.

The Brother Jimmy’s Menu

While obviously focused on classic Carolina BBQ meats and homestyle sides, Brother Jimmy’s menu offers an extensive array of choices to fit almost any taste profile. There are sandwiches, salads, seafood, chicken wings, and even a selection of sliders and BBQ nachos. If you’re a vegetarian, check out their marinated portobello mushroom sandwich, vegetable quesadilla, or flavorful macaroni and cheese!

But besides their delicious and mouthwatering food, Brother Jimmy’s offers a unique selection of adult beverages – including mason jar cocktails and their signature Swamp Water (a mixture of vodka, pineapple juice, melon, and sour mix served in a 64 oz fish bowl with plentiful straws)!

Sauces

Brother Jimmy’s provides a selection of housemade sauces and condiments. On each table you’ll find a bottle of their Original BBQ sauce, Chipotle flavor, and Carolina style. While I sampled all three, I particularly enjoyed the extra heat and spice of the Chipotle sauce!

Freaky Thoughts: Brother Jimmy’s

During my visit to Brother Jimmy’s, I got to sample a variety of their available meats and side dishes. It was all SO DELICIOUS! While my favorites were the macaroni and cheese and cornbread, I enjoyed everything on my plate. The meat was well-seasoned and tender, and I loved trying all the available sauces!
