We initially told you about this upcoming, family-friendly horror film in May of 2021 with an in-depth profile on lead filmmaker Ed McKeever. Now, just a little over a year later, we are honored to celebrate the project’s completion and distribution by sharing a bit of information about the finished movie and its official debut! About The Beast Comes At Midnight
Starring Michael McKeever and Madelyn Chimento and featuring appearances by Academy Award Nominee Eric Roberts and seasoned film actor Micheal Paré, this family-friendly horror film follows the story of a young live-streamer who must defend his rural town against a vicious werewolf. Perhaps not so loosely based on Central Florida’s sideshow history, The Beast Comes at Midnight highlights much of Florida’s natural beauty and unique landmarks – including the International Independent Showmen’s Museum near Tampa Bay. Utilizing this almost untapped source of creative inspiration, The Beast Comes at Midnight promises to be a very special kind of film experience – combining local flair with nationally-acclaimed talent and resources.

Of course, no creative process comes without a fair bit of challenge! Overcoming weather delays, unplanned casting changes, and other logistical struggles; The Beast Comes at Midnight team faced plenty of hurdles, yet still brought together a quality film. While The Beast Comes at Midnight is technically considered a horror film, its humor and young cast make it accessible to audiences of all ages and temperaments. Of course, like any scary movie, there will be some frightening images and scenes; however, the story is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family (much like Gremlins or The Goonies).

Beginning this August, you can catch The Beast Comes at Midnight at drive-in theaters throughout the United States. Partnering with United Drive-In Theater Owners Association member locations, horror films like The Beast Comes at Midnight are a great fit for this kind of outdoor, movie-watching experience!
