There’s still a few more days to catch Visual Fringe – a celebration of painting, sculpting, photography and other visual arts – at the Orlando Fringe Festival! Featuring an open art gallery, craft activities, and special programs; Visual Fringe will run until May 29th. Visual Fringe HQ
Start your experience with a visit to the first-ever Visual Fringe HQ. Inside this event hub, you’ll find craft tables, seating areas, selfie stations, and plenty of posted information so that you can plan your day at Visual Fringe.
Vexed Vending
Before leaving Visual Fringe HQ, check out the Vexed Vending machine. Focused on community building, these specialized amenities carry local art, delightfully kitschy items, and unique creations.
Open Gallery
Just outside the HQ hub, you can enjoy an extensive art gallery featuring a variety of unique fandom-based and original pieces. All items are for sale, and 100% of the purchase price goes directly back to the artist – so shop away!
Special Programs
Visual Fringe includes its own itinerary of special programs and events like art history presentations, artist meet and greets, short film screenings, and more. This weekend’s upcoming events include Dirty Art History, 5 for 5 Photos, and an Art and Improv Show!
Dirty Art History – Friday, May 27th 9:00pm
An 18+ event, historian Adrienne H. Lee will take you through the sexier side of art’s evolution.
5 for 5 Photos – Saturday, May 28th 2pm
Are you in need of some professional photos? Come by the HQ to meet with Visual Fringe Associate Producer and photographer Megan! Using unique photo backdrops, you’ll get 5 digital pictures emailed to you for just $5.
Art and Improv Show – Saturday, May 28th 8pm
Don’t miss this unique combination of visual and performance art! An existing piece of gallery art will inspire an improv show performed by some Fringe favorites. As the skits develop, an artist will create an impromptu piece of art – inspired by the improv scenes!
