From now until March 6th, guests can let the good times roll at SeaWorld Mardi Gras! This event, much like its sister celebration at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, includes a short parade, live entertainment, and specialty food offerings. Yesterday, we headed out to SeaWorld to check out the new entertainment, and it was so much fun!
SeaWorld Mardi Gras Pop-Up Parade
At various (unannounced) times between 12:30-6pm, you can catch a pop-up parade through the Wild Arctic plaza! No exact schedule is posted, but if you can fit it into your day – it’s worth trying to check it out.

The parade route begins next to the Wild Arctic gift shop and loops through the entire plaza before exiting the same way.

It is a short, but super fun parade – full of colorful costumes, energetic dancing, and lively music. No beads were thrown during my visit, but we just had fun watching the performers and soaking in the Mardi Gras atmosphere.

SeaWorld Mardi Gras Live Music

Right after each parade, head to the Wild Arctic stage for a live, musical performance!
Gulf Coast Market

If you get hungry, visit the nearby Gulf Coast Market! Located between the Wild Arctic building and the Seven Seas Beer Garden, this booth features classic Louisiana flavors like Gulf Gumbo, Pork Po’ Boys, and, of course, traditional Beignets!

Freaky Thoughts: SeaWorld Mardi Gras

If you enjoy jazz music and Mardi Gras festivities, this celebration is a great addition to your day in the park. The parade and live music are super fun yet short enough so that they can easily fit into a jam-packed, attraction-filled itinerary. While I do wish that the entertainment schedule was more prominently posted, you might find a team member willing to divulge the next available set time. It’s worth asking, at least.
As someone who appreciates a festive atmosphere and seasonal events, I really enjoyed SeaWorld’s Mardi Gras celebration! Make sure to check it out before the fun ends on March 6!
