Attention, thrill seekers! You can now experience the world’s tallest sling shot and drop tower rides right on International Drive! Says Slingshot group owner, Ritchie Armstrong, “We now have three world-record-setting attractions at ICON Park – The Orlando StarFlyer, SlingShot and FreeFall. Standing at 300 feet tall, the Orlando Slingshot shoots riders out of an exploding volcano, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph!
The Orlando FreeFall reaches a height of 430 feet, officially the largest free-standing drop tower in existence. As riders ascend the humungous tower, the vehicle rotates – giving breathtaking views of International Drive and other ICON Park attractions. After reaching the top, the ride vehicle actually rotates 30° to face the ground before plummeting 400 feet!
