More About “Over The Edge”
While there is no specific age requirement to rappel, minors will need to present a signed waiver from a parent or guardian. In order to safety fit into the harnesses and climbing equipment, rappellers must be between 110-350 pounds.
All members of the Over The Edge technical team are IRATA and SPRAT certified with additional support from local fire department volunteers, SWAT Teams, and AMGA guides. Safety checks will be performed prior to each rappel and regular rope inspections will occur every 2.5 hours during the event.
