Just in time for Spring Break 2022, THREE new water slides are coming to Central Florida water parks – Aquatica and Adventure Island! Let’s take a look at these upcoming additions.
Coming to Aquatica Orlando: Reef Plunge!
Known for its current main attraction, Dolphin Plunge, guests will soon encounter even more vibrant marine life! Climb into this fast-moving body slide to “plunge” through 330 feet of twists, turns, and (most importantly) translucent cutouts and rings to easily view Commerson’s Dolphins, leopard sharks, and a variety of cold-water fish.
Coming to Adventure Island Tampa Bay – TWO New Water Slides!
Rapids Racer
Grab a teammate and some competitive friends for this 600 foot raft slide! Featuring the world’s first dueling saucers, you’ll also encounter dark tunnels and low walls for the ultimate racing experience.
Wahoo Remix
Formerly known as Wahoo Run, Wahoo Remix will be a family raft ride with ultimate party vibes. Tunnels that were once dark will explode with light and sound for a high-energy trip through 600 feet of fun!
“The all-new Rapids Racer and new enhancements to another fan-favorite attraction with Wahoo Remix will elevate the Adventure Island guest experience in an unprecedented way in 2022,” said Neal Thurman, Park President of Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. “With recently announced year-round operations, it’s going to be a momentous year for water park fans, as our guests can now splash in the sun and take on thrills from January to December.”
