Nestled deep in the city of Longwood is an historic building called the Bradlee-McIntyre House Museum. Built in 1885, this preserved home offers a rare glimpse into 19th century Floridian life. While daytime education tours are available year round, what happens in that old house AFTER the sun goes down? Do the ghosts of residents past haunt the hallways and many rooms of this well-maintained yet often empty abode? Well, the Longwood Haunted History Tour is here to find out!

A big THANK YOU to the Longwood Haunted History Tour for inviting us out to experience your preview night!
Longwood Haunted History Tour
Led by Michael Matson, a paranormal enthusiast, skilled storyteller, and career magician, the Longwood Haunted History Tour is a 75+ minute exploration of the Bradlee-McIntyre House. With a combination of history, illusion, and old-fashioned ghost stories, you’ll explore all 3 floors of this aged home for a night of spooky fun!

During the tour, your guide will lead you through all 13 rooms of this gorgeous and massive home. Honestly, just perusing the elegant rooms, furnishings, and decor was an awesome treat – even before the hauntings began!

Inside each elaborate room, Michael will first give a short history lesson explaining the room’s significance in the lives of the Bradlee and McIntyre families. After the lesson, it’s time to conduct some paranormal experiments!

In the interest of avoiding spoilers, I don’t want to discuss these experiments in too much detail. However, I will tell you that most of these demonstrations allow for audience participation – making you and your friends a part of the action! Additionally, Michael varies the styles of the experiments and demonstrations so that each stop of the tour is a unique experience.

I enjoyed learning about the house’s history and watching/participating in many of the paranormal experiments throughout the tour. If you’re in the Longwood area and you’re craving a Halloween experience without jump scares or gore – this tour might be a great choice for your group!
