Islands of Adventure isn’t the only place getting a taste of Jurassic World this summer! You can now explore the brand new Jurassic World Tribute Store over at Universal Studios Florida! This store has four rooms full of Easter eggs, actual movie props, and, of course, lots and lots of dinosaurs!
Entering the Tribute Store
You’ll enter through the Jurassic World gates into a detailed InGen storage/locker room.
VelociCoaster Control Room
Going around the corner, you’ll find yourself in a futuristic VelociCoaster control room, complete with industrial decor, technical displays, and workstations.
Heading INSIDE the raptor paddock, meet Blue and the gang face-to-face as they try to break open some sort of transport unit.
After you escape the raptor paddock, you’ll find yourself on a long-forgotten pathway to the old park! Travel it, if you dare, to the abandoned Visitor Center and dinosaur Laboratory.
Jurassic Park Laboratory
By far my favorite room, the Laboratory contains all kinds of Easter eggs and nostalgia for fans of the first film. You can even find a few “screen-used” props – including the infamous Barbasol can! Explore the Embryo Cold Storage, Raptor Nursery, and more. Just watch out for an errant T-Rex!
In what has become the traditional “snack room,” you’ll meet a triceratops before perusing the available treats.Save $60 on Universal 3-Park 3-Day Park to Park! Visit Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park.
If you’re craving a sweet bite, check out the Egg Nursery! Pick out your prize egg and “hatch” it to find the tasty dinosaur within.
If you’re not a chocolate person, you can also find a Pineapple Maple “Fossilzed Amber” gummy – complete with mosquito!
Spared No Expense!
Of course, no trip to the Jurassic World Tribute Store would be complete without paying your respects to the great(ish) John Hammond.
As a pretty massive Jurassic Park fan, this store was a real treat! I was pleasantly surprised by the original franchise callbacks and the detail of the in-store dinos! Be sure to check it out on your next visit to Universal Studios.
