Scream N’ Stream, an innovative and pandemic friendly drive-through horror adventure introduced during 2020’s haunt season, will return this fall with an all-new story, updated technology, and an overall terrifying attraction for Halloween fans! Earlier this week, we sat down with Scream N’ Stream creator, Chris Louis, to hear all about upcoming changes and upgrades to this awesome Kissimmee haunt!
A Brand New Scream N’ Stream Story…
A far departure from last year’s drive-in theater and cult killer themes, 2021 will feature completely different imagery and characters. Instead of driving into a movie screen, guests are invited to a secret facility to view a new military weapon. Of course, something goes horribly wrong during our visit! Scream N’ Stream has not clarified exactly what obstacles we will face on our journey; but the concept art DEFINITELY implies that surviving this experience will require some audience participation!
…Written By HHN Veteran Patrick Braillard
Scream N’ Stream’s new story was written by Patrick Braillard, a longtime Halloween Horror Nights veteran! Patrick has worked in several levels of theme park and horror entertainment, from performer to Creative Development Show Director. In fact, it was Braillard’s storytelling and writing skills that gave us unforgettable experiences such as “HHN Lite’s” Bride of Frankenstein Lives and Revenge of the Tooth Fairy. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Tunnel of the Damned haunted house and Dark Seance dinner show at the Orlando Forum on International Drive. With such a wealth of rich storytelling experience, I am so excited to see what he has created for this year’s Scream N’ Stream event!
And An Updated Scream N’ Stream Experience!
Along with a brand new story comes an updated format that maximizes your time at the attraction and adds a whole new dimension to the Scream N’ Stream experience! Instead of jumping straight into the drive-through, your party will begin your journey on foot! After arriving, checking in with a staff member, and securing a place in the virtual queue; guests will enter an outdoor scare/party zone called RAGE. In this area, you can grab a bite to eat, interact with live scaractors and performers, or dance your wait-time away! Once your group is called, you’ll return to your car and enter the all-new Drive-Through Horror Adventure! If, after your trip to the secret facility, your group isn’t quite done partying; you can return to the RAGE area to continue enjoying the atmosphere and amenities!
Additionally, the drive-through experience itself will be receiving multiple technology and process upgrades. You will still be driving your car from scene to scene, using traffic lights as your guide. However, the signals and systems will be enhanced, resulting in a much smoother experience for both the performers and audience. To improve story integrity and better control the narrative flow, the show will use translucent flaps and overhead sound/lighting setups to create separate scenes. This innovative system is expected to create a “dark ride” atmosphere, and it’s completely unique from anything we witnessed in Orlando drive-through haunts last year!
You Can Buy Your Scream N’ Stream Presale Tickets Now!
If you are ready to book your night of terror, presale tickets are already available! Buying your ticket now allows you to save a little bit of money (up to $25 off the door price) while maintaining the flexibility to schedule your exact visit date at a later time. Presale tickets give you a code which will be used to redeem a specific ticket reservation when you’re ready to commit to a particular evening. Don’t wait too long to schedule your tickets! If an event night sells out, you won’t be able to reserve that date. Tickets are sold per car, not per person! Each pass includes as many individuals as there are seatbelts in the car – up to 8 people. Grab a handful of your best friends and get ready for a spooky night!
For a limited time, presale tickets come with a special fog-scented car air freshener (to be picked up during the event)! These are only available while supplies last, so order your ticket soon!
One last consideration is that presale tickets are not valid for redemption during the last two Saturdays of the run. Take a look at the two calendars below for more information:
With the flexibility to defer your date selection and the added bonus of a fog-scented car air freshener, it’s never too early to book your adventure with Scream N’ Stream!
Now Accepting Applications!
Scream N’ Stream is accepting applications for event staff positions. Along with the ability to work for a unique Halloween event, Chris Louis and his team are providing pretty amazing incentives for many hourly positions.
Because this is a limited engagement opportunity, “main role” applicants should be available for at least 85% of the listed event nights (those with less availability can be considered for Active Backup positions). Scheduling conflicts should be discussed and approved during the application process so that the employee commits to a set number of dates throughout the run. Those maintaining their commitments could be rewarded with a boost in their hourly wage and (potentially an industry first) the ability to earn a paid night off! Scream N’ Stream is currently considering candidates for performers, operations staff members, and AV Technicians. Visit their website for more information and to fill out an application!
A big thank you to Scream N’ Stream leader, Chris Louis, for taking the time to discuss the event’s upcoming changes and exciting developments! We can’t wait to see the brand new Scream N’ Stream experience!
