The next time you visit Universal Orlando, you might notice a shiny, new addition to the shopping line up: a BRAND NEW Universal Studios Store! Replacing four previous storefronts (Fossil, PiQ!, Fresh Produce, and Island Clothing Co), this HUGE, new store provides a sleek, upscale atmosphere for Resort guests to find vacation souvenirs or gifts for their family and friends.
Universal Studios Store Layout
The store seems to be divided into three main sections. The side of the store closest to Cowfish and the parking garage contains merchandise for current attractions and characters. Major sections include Jurassic Park/World, The Cat in the Hat, and Despicable Me.
The middle section of the store has a wide variety of retro merchandise as well as the cashier station. You’ll also find a fitting room next to the cashier desk! For those whose wardrobe isn’t mostly theme park attire, you might not realize that this is a pretty rare find! When shopping I often find myself having to either guess or try something on over my clothes to see if it fits. The ability to actually try a shirt before purchasing will no doubt alleviate a lot of stress and anxiety for guests.
Above the cashier desk, you’ll find a circular screen showing clips of attractions and Universal resorts.
Finally, the side of the store closest to the NBC Grill and the Universal Studios park entrance is almost entirely dedicated to Harry Potter. There’s a variety of merchandise including a whole room for magic wands!
Universal Studios Shopping Experience
To make browsing easy, Universal has organized the merchandise by types and intellectual properties. For example, if you’re looking for some fun theme park apparel, try the Tee Shirt wall display.

Fun Fact: There’s even a selection of Velocicoaster merchandise ahead of its Summer 2021 opening.
Instead of a heavily themed shopping experience like the Tribute Store, this retail location offers a more upscale and relaxed atmosphere. The only distinctly Universal decor is a collection of blue prints and ride plans prominently displayed above the merchandise.
As the park’s offerings and guest’s preferences change, the merchandise selection may shift as well. Check Universal’s website for current store hours.
Universal Studios Legacy Store
While the store has a brand new location, this isn’t the first time a Universal Studios Store has debuted at CityWalk. The previous building is much smaller and less able to handle the significant demand of the busy tourist season. Of course, Universal can’t just let the old shop sit empty so they’ve created a unique Legacy Store! While the available merchandise is not any different that the in-park or in-resort selection, the store does offer nostalgic decor. As you explore the walls and displays, you’ll find old props, ride vehicle models, retro pictures, and other hidden gems. If you can’t immediately identify an item, Universal has included helpful tags with more information!
