Just in time for warmer weather, Aquatica’s Riptide Race will officially open on April 3! While we expected to see this attraction open in 2020, it was delayed (along with many other upcoming Orlando attractions) due to Covid-19. But with the nation’s renewed hope and steady vaccine rollout, Orlando’s theme parks and tourism industry continue to recover from the devastating effects of the pandemic.
According to Aquatica’s website:
“It all starts atop a 68-foot tower, where you’ll grab a two-person raft (42″ height requirement*) before racing through 650 feet of slide, with low walls to keep an eye on your opponent. It’s a dash to the splash as you compete in this side-by-side raft run through high-speed tunnels, twists, and turns. Who will reach the finish line first and feel the rush of victory?”

Annual Passholders can now reserve their spots for a special preview of the upcoming attraction. The preview will run Thursday April 1 and Friday, April 2 from 4pm-7pm. Passholders will have the opportunity to enjoy Riptide Race, PLUS they’ll receive an extra hour of park time with Ke-Re’s Bar, Banana Beach, Walhalla Wave, and Ray Rush.
