Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is here until July 5. The Festival includes beautiful topiaries, a variety of gardens, live entertainment, and, of course, outdoor kitchens selling a variety of springtime-inspired dishes.
The 2021 Festival includes two brand new additions to the outdoor kitchen line up: EPCOT Sunshine Griddle and EPCOT Farmer’s Feast.
EPCOT Sunshine Griddle
Located near Test Track in Future World, Sunshine Griddle offers traditional brunch fare including Avocado Toast, Shrimp and Grits, and Corned Beef Brisket Hash.
I ordered the Avocado Toast with Marinated Toybox Tomatoes and Fresh Goat Cheese on Tasted Ciabatta.
This was DELICIOUS! The avocado was seasoned (I think it might have been cilantro?) and paired well with the goat cheese and tomatoes. While I didn’t care for whatever-those-purple-things-are, I just simply pulled them off and kept eating. The ciabatta toast stayed crispy, even though I walked from Test Track to the Odyssey bridge and then took several photos before starting to nibble. If you are a fan of brunch food, you’ll definitely want to visit Sunshine Griddle!
EPCOT Farmer’s Feast
This “Outdoor Kitchen” is not really outdoors. Instead, you can find it in the World Showplace Pavilion – an event space between the United Kingdom and Canada areas of the park.
While the current menu includes Duck Confit and Spring Onion Soup, this booth will feature rotating options based on seasonal ingredients.
While I was tempted by the Spring Onion Soup, I ultimately chose the Duck Confit with Carrot Purée, Roasted Root Vegetables, Rainbow Chard, and Duck Jus.
This plate was just ok. The duck was a little overdone for my taste, and the vegetables were a little tough. Additionally, the carrot purée was almost ice cold when I ate it. Granted I did walk my dish outside of the pavilion, found a bench, and took a few photos before eating it. I expected it to lose a little temperature, but it lost an unreasonable amount of heat. I would recommend trying a different Outdoor Kitchen.
Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will run daily until July 5! Be sure to check Disney’s website for current park hours and schedules.
