THIS WEEKEND ONLY enjoy Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail Valentine’s Day event: Love’s Revenge! Sir Henry’s is an all-original, outdoor haunted attraction in Plant City. With three trails, live walk-around characters, and spooky ambiance; this is a great Valentine’s date option for you and your significant other or just a great group of friends!
Love’s Revenge Haunted Trails
The best part about Sir Henry’s annual haunts is their all-original, creative storytelling. Let’s take a look at the three trails and accompanying storylines waiting for you…
The Kissing Tree

If you attended Sir Henry’s 2020 Halloween event, you’ll remember the sad story of Nathaniel Kane. The bullied boy was tied to a tree one dark Halloween night. Though he was never seen again, the town continued to be plagued by a shadowy creature enacting his own special kind of revenge.
The Kissing Tree continues this sordid story. Sir Henry’s website explains,
“Many moons later the candy tree was slowly forgotten. Until one day a rumor was heard that if you kiss someone by this tree and it’s your true love you will have true love forever. But if it’s not your true love the creature Kane will appear and devour you. Kane is not happy that he has been forgotten once again. And this time his anger spawns shadows of Kane, creatures that spread throughout the village and woods terrorizing couples.”
This was my favorite of the three trails! The actors did a great job telling the story and moving you through the scenes of the house. Sir Henry’s trails include a mixture of indoor and outdoor sets, which really worked for this storyline. I felt like I was moving through the town and observing the various scenes of turmoil Kane had unleashed.
Collector of Hearts

Another treat for regular Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail fans, Collector of Hearts is a continuation from the 2020 Halloween attraction – Marionette of the Dead. In the previous trail, we met, puppet maker, Poppy. Sir Henry’s website explains her next chapter:
“Poppy’s distraction with her new puppets, pushes one of her main henchmen, the collector, to secretly harvest the hearts of victims in order to give life to Poppy’s puppets. Feeling the loss of Poppy’s love, he hopes that one day one of the puppets may fall in love with him when he fills them with a beating heart. Will you fall victim to the collector as he searches for the perfect heart for his puppet?”
As you can see from the picture, this house includes a big, beautiful facade that acts as a grand entrance for the attraction. While The Kissing Tree was my number one trail for the evening, this was a close second. I love the winding path that takes you through the various house rooms and outdoor areas. Some of the hallways were very dark, adding to the sense of disorientation and fear!
Weeping Roses

Weeping Roses is the only Valentine’s trail with a storyline independent of the Halloween event. Sir Henry’s says:
“Hard times make people do crazy things. And Mrs. Green is no stranger to hard times. After losing her flower shop business, many say she went mad. Her garden and flowers were her whole life. So she decided to take revenge on those in the town who never supported her business. The grounds where she grew her flowers has turned into a bloody arrangement of body parts. Her gardeners assist her on her path of torment and the town is overrun by the madness of Mrs. Green. No one, not even her husband, is safe from her wrath.“
While the story is already pretty creepy, most of this trail takes place in the dark – kicking up the tension and setting up the scaractors for some awesome (and unexpected) scares!
Between The Trails at Love’s Revenge
When you’re not enjoying one of the three trails, you can take pictures with live performers or relish the spooky atmosphere in the central area of the attraction.

Freaky Thoughts
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know that Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail is one of my favorite local haunts. The original stories mixed with passionate actors and longer than average houses make a unique, spooky experience for haunt enthusiasts. Getting to visit this attraction in the off-season was a huge treat for me!
Besides the novelty of visiting a haunted house in February, I really enjoyed the Valentine’s Day overlays – especially inside The Kissing Tree. This trail was decked out with traditional love-themed decor, and the cast really sold the story.
If you’re a fan of spooky things, definitely check out Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail Love’s Revenge for an awesome Valentine’s Day Date/Galentine’s Day Outing/You Party!
